About Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc 2
Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc 2 is a sequel to Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc. It is not necessary to play the prequel to enjoy this game.
Mindy Akumori recovers her memories and exits the dimensional world only to find her nation, Hysteria, in a brink of war. She voluntarily joins the Hysteria military and is now being personally trained under her sister, Cindy Akumori, a highly ranked commander.
Within a short amount of time, it was reported that the situation was more dire than the informants proclaimed. The enemy nations have gained access to a forbidden spell that has allowed them to conquer a clear majority of Hysteria in one fell swoop by deactivating and surpassing Hysteria’s defense.
Mindy receives an order to sortie east and she happily complies, but she encounters the unexpected and something nasty begins to stir...

I personally prefer WSMA 1 far more than WSMA 2 including the UI. The most annoying thing I feel in WSMA 2 is that the shop, and rewards items are in a vertical list but you can’t scroll them, I need to move my cursor to those little prev next button every time Other thing is the multiple power assign, 2 units can be assigned with the same power but only in the specific order, like I need to move my unit to do this, thus changing the hotkey that I’m already used to, one of the solution is changing the hotkey from options but this still change the unit order layout in gameplay so it makes it more confusing. The menu is also too simple, even simpler than WSMA 1, I mean I expected a better version of WSMA 1 but all I’m getting are texts treated as buttons in the game. The UI transition is also very lacking, from what I know UI transition should be easy to make and make things a lot better. The story flow too, I really like linear story line like in WSMA 1 and WSDCW simple and good, where the story is connected to the stages but here it’s separated, it’s better than WSED but still why not make it like WSMA 1. The art inconsistency with WSMA 1. I don’t even recognize the characters…4 found this helpful
Wasn't terrible; I had fun for a while, but the longer you play, the more you notice its flaws. The story is interesting but I didn't like the way it was written. I also can't help to think about the kitchen nightmares meme whenever someone says "Nino". The gameplay is fine, but has very little variety; in the end, you basically use the same formation of Sniper -> Mage -> Gunner -> Guardian. Any other combination just doesn't work. Normal mode has some very dumb difficulty spikes, but the chapter 5 one with the boss just made me pack it. Too strong, and there's constant healers behind her that basically refills her hp before you can even react. Could I have lowered the difficulty? Sure, but again, the spike is so bad that in easy mode you can put down literally random stuff and get away with it. Should I have grinded? Sure, but the following stage would just be a repeat of the previous with the exact same problems.3 found this helpful

Sequel to "Winged Sakura: Mindy's Arc". I feel like they failed to deliver the same excitement that the first game had delivered. The story is fine, but gets a bit weird near the end, the OSTs are still good, but not as great as in WSMA, and the gameplay is extremely similar. So why did I not enjoy the sequel as much? The first thing was that navigating through the menus felt terrible. I think the main contender here is the lack of ability to scroll through most of the menus, something that was possible in WSMA. You can only see 6 items per page and then you have to click the left/right arrow at the bottom right to change page. You do somewhat get used to it, but it's still pretty bad.. That said, the right click to go back was definitely a good move. The Artstyle seems to have downgraded. I don't know if it's just my preferences, but WSMA2 has my least favorite artstyle across the series as of 2019 releases. It just doesn't hit the same as it did in WSMA. Speaking of things that doesn't hit the same, Unit's animations.. While WSMA's animations were not that great, they still managed to make your Units feel alive. I don't know if it's because your Units are humans in WSMA2, bu…2 found this helpful
Way better than the first game, still a bit grindy. Having to play a level 20+ times sometimes is a bit sad. But a great great still.1 found this helpful
