This is the BEST Missing Picture cinematic short. I loved it. I wanted more of it. This is a 11 minute long 360 purely cinematic experience with no interactions. It's a story of the real life director Catherine Hardwicke's (she directed Thirteen, Lords of Dogtown, & Twilight) attempt to make the movie "The Monkey Wrench Gang" based on the book of climate activism in the Grand Canyon. Her vision for this movie and her description of it is exciting. This movie should have been made. It may have won an Oscar. It's a story that needs to be told. It's a fun movie but with some big controversy. I do disagree with Catherine Hardwicke though ... I don't see the distinction between activism versus terrorism. They are both just labels that that state puts against violence directed at the state. Like they say, every terrorist believes themselves a freedom fighter. It just depends on which side you are on. Some violence against the state may be justified or it may not be justified. It's truly in the eye of the beholder. I also think her casting choices, while great for the time period, are probably dated now. Anyways, I hope she gets to make her movie. This was a very exciting cinematic shor…

Missing Pictures : Catherine Hardwicke is a free VR experience about a movie that was never made. It worked on my Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. The director revisits this project which excited her so much and which became, because of the reluctance of the Hollywood studios, one of these umpteenth "ghosts of the garage" Shot in volumetric capture of the filmmaker Catherine Hardwicke, which looked pretty good. CONS: - Might have to play with the bindings to setup a trigger to right and left controllers. Maybe check this out if you like movies or movie making or are a producer or movie studio exec looking for a project.

Missing Pictures : Catherine Hardwicke is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this "art experience". Instead of being a game, Missing Pictures : Catherine Hardwicke is a software application that presents a poorly made art exhibition. This garbage "art experience" is, apart from not being a game, a "documentary" about a filmmaker that made a film nobody watched about environmental activists. Wow... read the room. This is Steam, for video games. Many of which involve deforesting entire virtual environments to build villages, huts and whatever else. We get this non-game shovelware on Steam whenever your usual Starbucks barista/McDonalds frycook art school dropout finally gets a restraining order from the local art galleries so turns to Steam Direct to try get their art published somewhere so they can finally dream of moving out of their parents basement. It's true that games can be art... art is where the pinnacles of craftsmanship and quality meet vision and narrative to create an experience far greater than the sum of the parts. This isn't a game at all, and the craftsmanship and narrative are terrible. This isn't…

Short VR experience that tells the plot of unmade movie The Monkey Wrench Gang. The visuals are cartoony with photorealistic narrator. And it really looks like the film could be successful nowadays, if it actually was produced. It based on the book, and the script probably still exists somewhere, so I hope it will happen eventually. Works on Reverb G2.
