About Mistcaller

A young girl with the power to control a supernatural mist remembers only one thing - her brother has been kidnapped. Navigate the haze, uncover family secrets, solve mind-bending puzzles, and discover the truth in this artistic platformer.

ABOUT THIS GAME

A young girl awakens alone, her mind void of the events that led to her solitude. All she knows is that her brother has been taken, and the answers to her plight lie somewhere within a strange mist encasing the world.

Using her newfound power to control the unsettling haze, Eve ventures deep into the unknown, hoping to unlock her memories and the truth of her past. Guided by a disembodied voice speaking from the shadows, Eve overcomes dangerous obstacles and solves challenging puzzles on a journey to find her brother and herself.

At the heart of the mystery sits two rival families, each with their own dark secrets. The more Eve uncovers of the feuding houses and the closer she gets to finding her brother, the more she’ll wish she remained amnesiac.

Mistcaller is a supernatural puzzle platformer inspired by games like Limbo. Fully hand-drawn, the uniquely artistic world encased within the mist is beautifully rendered.

Control the Mist. Harness the power of the mist to navigate an eerie world and unravel its secrets.

Use Your Mind. Help Eve solve a series of intricate puzzles and overcome dangerous obstacles.

The Story Beneath the Mist. Explore a deep and rich narrative centered around an ongoing conflict between rival families and uncover Eve's place in it all.

An Ode to the Classics. Mistcaller pays tribute to quintessential platformers and their remarkable art styles.

It's a beautiful puzzle platformer like Limbo. I really like the graphic, atmosphere and music. You have to jump (Spacebar), interact (E) and move (WASD) Sometimes it's a little tricky, but doable. The only thing I don't like are some puzzle solutions. It kills the feeling when I have to use a guide to solve it.

Little platformer with some decent puzzles, great art and enjoyable music. Even though it doesn't stand out from the crowd, it is still interesting to those that enjoy little things. The game combines puzzles and platforming. You're not required to complete any challenging situations because your only means of traversal is a jump, and double jump when there's mist around you. However, that doesn't mean you won't die a lot. Since you can only withstand one hit, the slightest contact with a hazard will kill you. On the other hand, because checkpoints are so frequent, you won’t find the experience frustrating. There is nothing revolutionary about puzzles. There are buttons you must press in the right order, some memorization, and color puzzles that pose a significant challenge for people who suffer from a certain sort of colorblindness. For instance, three of the four colors in one puzzle seemed too similar. Some puzzles are not as obvious, despite the fact that most are very common and you know exactly what to do. And some, like the one in the final section where you're being hunted, is just not fun. Because there are no cues or feedback to let you know if you're on the correct tr…

Amazing mysterious game, although very difficult, which makes it more interesting. If you want to challenge yourself I would definitely recommend playing ;)
