From a long time fan of monster high and everything that surrounds it, I don't think the game is nearly worth the pricetag it has. I adore monster high g 1,2,3 but even as a fan of that myself I really think the game should be less costly given the lack of content. Yes there are stories aroudn the school to help other students, but for 60 dollars I would reeeeally expect a bit more, maybe like more detailed customisation, or add side stories that are something other than fetch quests. Also, the voice acting doesn't sync with the animation for the talking, making it really awkward trying to get immersed in the game, adn your MC has no voiced lines wither, maybe adding an option to choose a voice for your ghoul so it would read your dialogie options would make the game feel that much better. I love monster high and it's universe, but I can't recommend this unless it's on a massive discount :(
I can't recommend this game, especially if the purchase is being made for a small child. There is no clear introduction to the gameplay--it explains the mechanics and what you are trying to do, but there is a lack of why before you are thrown in. Similarly, there is an ending with no real conclusion. The goals without the rewarding understanding of what is happening and why you should care is not only confusing for a child's development but completely unsatisfying for players who just really liked the show or the movies. However, the gameplay mechanics are simple and easy to learn. There are clear ways to tell where to go and what to do on side quests. Some of my favorite outfits in the show were outfits you could dress your character in. The game defininitely isn't lacking in style or combat; there's just a massive lack of direction and love for the story from the producers.
Short, buggy, not really much character customization
I love how you can customize and choose your own monster, but like I love how you can all just interact with the other charecter's in the game....
