About Moonshot - The Great Espionage
In the late 1960s, the Cold War between the United States of America and the Soviet Union reached its peak with the moon race. So far the Soviet Union was leading with its space program, but the USA caught up in no time. With the entry of the fictitious nation of Ustria, the duel quickly turned into a three-way battle.
In the game you are part of the Ustrian Secret Service and play a leading role in the National Space Program. The main task is to catch up on the technological lead through espionage and sabotage. You do this for example by penetrating the NASA headquarters, taking out guards, bypassing security systems to get access to secret plans.

I was looking forward to this a lot, but it just isn't very fun. It feels more like an old-school point & click than a stealth game in the sense that often in order to progress you have to interact with every single object to see if any door or cabinet can be opened or not (which you have to do anyway to pick up cash), deal with the worst lockpicking minigame I've ever seen in ANY game, and a bunch of other stuff, which leads to it doesn't really feel like a stealth game where I can see a clear goal and formulate a plan how to achieve it, but rather just trial and erroring the way forward. I'm sure there is some depth here but I can't be bothered to find out. Also the trailer is misleading in that it makes it seem like there's actually a story in the game - there isn't, not at all, you just go on mission after mission with only the vaguest of effort put into a reason why as writing goes. Not that I'm against that had the stealth been better, but it is very misleading.4 found this helpful
My Experience I really enjoyed playing Moonshot, and inserting the fictional nation of Ustria into the space race. There were a few missions that tripped me up, but you'll be a lot more competent (both because of your experience and skill unlocks) at the end of your time with the game. Although the gameplay is fun, there's also typically only one, circuitous way to proceed in each level. I would welcome a bit more "immersive sim" into the experience. A few other points:

One particular tricky section involves timing how long it takes a guard to cross a room, so that you can emerge when his back is turned. Your screen turns black when you climb inside the cupboard to hide. Although this was definitely tricky, it also made me feel like a super spy.
When you drop from one level to the one below, you will always fall in the center. This can make you accidentally set off infrared alarms that you thought you'd dodged.
Lockpicking is tricky, even with the upgrade. This could probably stand to be a bit more intuitive and less random.
When you retry a level, you (for some reason) keep the money that you acquired in your failed attempt and can collect it agai…3 found this helpful

Short and fun but for God's sake, get the damn lockpicking upgrade!
Neat little game! (I eventually figured out how to pass level 11 with the guards you can't hide from and who seem to always taze you first. The one that walk by a dog since the start.)
