Moonleap

Wonderful little puzzle platformer. I won't spoil too much, but several of levels seem so easy as to be trivial, but then you notice that there is more to them. Later in the game, you realize that the level select portion of the game has the same controls as the base game for a reason - it's essentially one big level itself. And some of the later meta puzzles are truly delightful. My only complaint is that some puzzles require a bit too much dexterity, it's hard to know if you're failing at them because of bad execution or if that just isn't the intended solution. But still a great game.

Moonleap actually reminded me of a valuable life lesson: Life is a changeable thing. I played this game while in the process of moving to a different state, and being a person that abhors change, I struggled to adapt to my new circumstances. But Moonleap showed me time and time again how change was needed for progress, and I could not find my way without it. No joke, it helped me think out of the box and relax during a hard time, so for me, this is a special lil' game. Some points here: THE GOOD STUFF + The game is adorable, but don't let that fool you into thinking it's easy/simple. This game legitimately makes your neurons work. + Puzzles are fair, and don't require obscure solutions. I'd argue around 90% of players can complete the levels without excessive time spent. + The soundtrack is legitimately EXCELLENT. Got more earworms than I could count while playing it. + From a completionist standpoint, this game is perfectly reasonable. + It's filled with secrets, so fun for explorers + If you're unusually stuck, you can look up guides which are easily available in steam or YouTube. It's short but very enjoyable! Despite the simplicity of the mechanics, the puzzles are very creative and fun to solve
