Played it solo. Great atmosphere, but the gameplay ruined it for me. Controlling both characters alone makes the shadow mechanic more frustrating than anything. The puzzles themselves are not that hard, the controls are the real challenge, and not in a good way. The ball movement is especially awful and feels unpredictable. I can see this working better in co-op, but solo it’s just a chore. The ending was also confusing and underwhelming. Nice mood but frustrating game.

The game is decent. I wouldn't recommend playing it by yourself as you will learn to hate this game. Do it with a friend if you want to keep your sanity

A great co-op puzzle game. Loved the overall concept, puzzle design, art direction, and worldbuilding. I'm surprised the ratings aren't universally positive, but I see a lot of complaints are around solo play, and it should definitely be played with another person.

Well, it was a LOT shorter than I expected, and a good 50% of the deaths I experienced were from unexpected things like falling through holes in walls, or shadows caused by... nothing? The puzzles were nice and simple, which is a relief since I struggled to split focus between two characters. This game feels like it was made for co-op, but plays with the unforgiving shamelessness of a game made for singleplayer... The art style(s) were... well, unique, but for the unexpected change at the end. But I'm sorry to say for under 3 hours of gameplay (I'm going back for some achievements and exploration) I don't know if it justifies the price. I'd not play £5 for an hour of 'why did that kill me?', even with the 'oops. My bad' accidents all the way through, this game was bouncing between frustrating and fun. Probably didn't help that the 'swap player' button didn't make any sense to me until two levels in (where I suddenly stopped dying so much). I will say that the last level was a lot of fun, even if it was a little confusing as to how that actually happened... Despite all my misgivings, this game gets a thumbs up, but not for the price. Yes, I know making a game is hard work, bu…
