About Mushroom Pin
Mushroom Pin is a relaxing but challenging puzzle game. It's the first VR game I made by my own.
The gameplay is very simple, you just need to pick up the mushroom pins and put them in the correct sockets according to the rules of the level. But the puzzles of the levels are often very challenging, and you need to think carefully.
Features:
- 64 challenging levels of 8 puzzle types
- Relaxing and casual playing atmosphere
Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my initial impressions review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/JjCIwFCk2Og This is a neutral recommendation. I think the puzzle game is fine if you're interested in this game type for VR. However, I don't think VR brings anything special to these types of puzzle games. You're basically playing minesweeper, connect the line, soduku, & other pen & paper puzzle type games in VR. The other issue is that there are only 8 puzzle types and 64 puzzles in total. Assuming you're smart, you can probably blow through the content in 1 hour or much longer if you have a lizard brain. Interactions work fine most of the time, but sometimes I had difficulties selecting the items. It's fine for what it is. You get to manipulate 3D objects in mostly a 2D way. It's like playing hangman in VR though .. you can do it & the game is enjoyable, but what do the simple 3D visuals really bring to the experience that would be better than just pen & paper or a free flash game on a brower? I don't know, but I could see some people enjoying this in VR more than in 2D since you do get to interact with 3D objects. [b]Rate 5/10. If you ever wanted to…9 found this helpful
This is an awesome little puzzle game, and in VR! Everything is intuitive, and the puzzle is right in front of you, not completely out of reach like they do in many VR titles. There are 8 types of puzzles to choose from, so if you don't like one, move on to the next. Recommended.
