About Nevergrind
Nevergrind is set in the world of Vandamor, a land inhabited by orcs, giants and dragons! Battle against the dark forces that have sewn chaos and destruction throughout the world. Nevergrind’s gameplay is focused on fighting battles and completing quest objectives throughout four acts. When you first start out, you’re just a recruit helping secure the perimeter of Edenburg. Your commander, Miranda Crossheart, sees your potential and keeps you busy with more difficult quests. This leads to your first boss encounter at Lanfeld Outpost, Chief Grimden. In a similar fashion, each act climaxes with a tough boss battle through which more of the game’s story is unveiled to the player.

Treasure-Hunting
Treasure-finding is a key feature of Nevergrind’s gameplay. Finding rare, powerful items is the best way to make your character more powerful. Since loot is so important in this type of game, a great deal of time and energy was spent designing exciting items. In addition to items with randomized properties, there are over 900 uniquely designed items that can be discovered. You can even find items from 28 different sets which provide passive bonuses as you equip more pieces!Chain Combos
The combat system also rewards competence! The chain combo system is a core game mechanic which boosts your hero's rewards! Completing chain combos is a great way to increase experience gained, gold find, and magic find! A chain combo is achieved by killing consecutive monsters without leaving combat. Racking up a huge chain combo requires smart equipment decisions, understanding of the item properties, and a masterful understanding of your hero's strengths and weaknesses! You can even boost your rewards by fighting multiple enemies at once! Taking on big risks leads to big rewards! What Steam players say

as long as this game doesnt have a proper automation for spells its not worth your time.1 found this helpful
I enjoy this game quite a lot. This is a version that was brought over from browser which people asked to be brought to steam and inspired Nevergrind Online as well. Would companions or party members be cool sure but you obviously don't need them and that should be reserved for online version. You can make all races/classes and level them/grind gear for all of them this game has hundreds of hours of content.1 found this helpful
Dope lil browser game I've only played a few minutes and I'm already investing in building my characters, lots of variety. REALLY hope we get steamdeck verification soon, such a chill cozy game belongs on the deck!!
➕ Combat rotations are faster, more engaging, and more fun than Nevergrind Online (NGO) ➕ Combo system creates interesting new strategies and decisions around long term sustain versus burst, and efficient use of AoE ➕ No dungeon traversal streamlines the whole experience and removes the pointless tedium of NGO ➕ Solo balance is much better than NGO's offline solo mode ➕ Talent system is simpler and streamlined compared to NGO ➕ Class identity and variety in class gameplay is better than NGO, but not great. Most classes still basically play the same ➖ UI bugs and issues like overlapping windows, text becoming highlighted ➖ Lack of quality of life features that exist in NGO, such as alt-click sell, quest and level info on the map, button hints on hotbar ➖ Unable to rebind like half the keys on the keyboard, they say "INVALID KEYBIND". Very lame, seriously need to fix this. Left handed players bind stuff on the numpad. ➖ The character portraits are really bad. Like really really bad. Please use AI to make better ones, like in NGO. You don't need 40 that all look the same like NGO, but please add some better looking options. Honestly Nevergrind feels better overall than NGO, eve…
It's Everquest for tired old men with families and jobs. I played the original EQ for many years since it was released and still have incredibly fond memories of my time with it and have wished that I could capture some of that magic again. And since I no longer have the luxury of time to spend several weeks farming an off-hand stick that raises my int by 3 points, Nevergrind manages to capture a lot of the essence of EQ, or really MMO's in general, in a streamlined, efficient manner that old men who like seeing numbers go up will crave. That it is also unapologetically mimicing classic Everquest's class/race/skill/spell systems is just icing on the cake for oldheads looking to wistfully smile at nostalgia. Otherwise, it's just a solid, fun reduction of MMO's with an addicting Diablo-esque loot system and risk/reward of pulling more mobs to keep a combo going for increasing exp and items. Simple, addicting and it respects your time. You should give it a shot.
Offline/Singleplayer Version of NGO, absolutely awsome.
