James is a young man who just moved to his newly bought house in the state of California. The house originally belonged to Ms. Karen Johnson.
This house looks stunning and was pursued by others buyers as well, despite rumors being heard in a small community of Escondido. Some people are talking about strange situations that happened in the 1950s at this house.
It was during this time, when the famous fashion designer Tiffany Johnson resided there. Her life was surrounded by luxury but also by alcohol and drugs. Her one and only son had chronic psychological problems and had to go to a psychiatric clinic frequently. All these led to Tiffany committing suicide through drug overdose.
Her granddaughter, Karen, inherited the house, but never moved in because she wanted to forget what she went through at this place when she was a child.
Now James, a normal person with just some… sleep problems, will have trouble moving to a place like that. He should have thought twice before buying this house...

An average human sleeps 7 to 8 hours every day. But… Did you ever ask yourself how many of them are deep sleep hours? When we sleep our body go through many phases.
For example, one of them is REM. Rapid eye movement sleep. REM is also known as paradoxical sleep (PS) and sometimes desynchronized sleep because of physiological similarities to waking states, including rapid, low-voltage desynchronized brain waves. REM usually accounts for 20% to 25% of total sleep and lasts for 90-120 minutes. During normal sleep, we usually experience 4 to 5 REM sleep periods. The human body is in dire need of phases like REM etc., but sometimes situations like this maybe make you feel Numb.
Numb will get to you in position to experience some of the sleep phases, through James, a normal person with stress problems that affect his sleep.

When someone feels numb, he can't really tell if he is living in reality or in a dream.

Warning to all don't waste your time. It had potential but this is an unfinished game with no news on any social forum that I could find that they even care. Each level sets up up to have some sort of puzzle...ammo in first one without a gun, a key in almost every level that I could not use on anything..code numbers to nothing...an unplayable fourth level. Why put out something like this and expect me to want to buy your games in the future. This is unfinished walk simulator at best. I hope for a refund, even during a 30% off sale.6 found this helpful

Horror aspect (scares are unexpected lots of times) 3. Pacing Minuses: 1. At first it takes long to figure out what you need to do 2. Monsters are ugly (imho) though maybe that is a plus 3. Complete garbage. The controls are awful, the movement is laggy, there's literally no point to almost any of the objects you can examine or pick up, and there's no coherent story. In this game, you just wander around and wait for events to trigger. That's seriously all it is. And even wandering around sucks because of the poor controls. All the objects you can examine and pick up are simply there to make you waste time and make you think there's some sort of puzzle to solve, but there isn't. It's just stupid. And there's a fourth section that you can't access even though the game has been out for a couple years now. Don't waste your time or money on this.2 found this helpful
First thing, ignore my playtime. 3 or so hours was me looking for walkthroughs and off doing my own thing. All in all, about an hour would be my time. Ok, this was... just ok... really. Good game for a first time dev and looks good with a few jumpscares/creepy moments but has a few flaws. Clipping through walls in the attic, the 'use' button not working on certain items/doors and the batteries lasting about 45-60 seconds. Also, I understand the idea of some games not 'holding your hand' with hints in a game but this game did not give anything away at all. You even get some items that can be lifted and stored in an inventory that have no use whatsoever, which causes running around for ages trying to figure out why this 'item' won't work anywhere or looking for 'the other part needed'. I'm glad i got this on sale as £6.99 is too much for a seemingly unfinished game with chapter 4 being unplayable. However ending at chapter 3 doesn't leave you feeling too annoyed - works like a cliffhanger or waking from a nightmare. I wish steam had a middle rating as that's what I would give it currently. This game makes you feel that someone or something is always behind you and awaits the right time to scare you...Of course it needs some improvements but i believe that it's gonna be a descent horror game to spend your night...
