About Perhaps When We Dream
Perhaps When We Dream is a short horror game in which you have been pulled deep within a dream, and time is running short. A Lovecraftian creature draws close and you must maneuver a dream hotel in order to find a way to lull the creature back to slumber. Failure means madness.
What Steam players say

Perhaps When We Dream is a minimalist 2D side-scrolling adventure with an amateur hand-drawn art style that attempts to deliver horror through jump scares, though players find the overall execution lacking in quality across art, story, and gameplay. Common complaints include poor artistic presentation, low production values, confusing progression that may hit progression blockers, and reliance on jump scares rather than genuine horror, with some players questioning whether they've hit bugs or simply missed obvious solutions.
Not sure if I just ran into a dead-end bugged out ending making it impossible to progress or if there is something obvious I am completely missing. Not really a fan of horrors, aand even if you were this is more of a jump scare at times than anything.1 found this helpful
Perhaps When We Dream is a 2D side scrolling adventure game with a horror theme, delivered with minimalist hand drawn "pencil" "art". Gameplay consists of scrolling left and right, going through doors and pressing "E" to interact with things sometimes. What I like about this game is that it's a sincere attempt at a video game. Hyphema Studios made a genuine try at a game here, and the very basic elements of a video game are represented in some form or another. The problem is the general quality here is very low. The hand drawn art makes Napoleon Dynamite look like a prodigy. The story and gameplay are on par with the "art". While this is cheap, you get what you pay for. It's no surprise this was dumped into cheap game bundles shortly after launch. I can't recommend this to other gamers.1 found this helpful
