About Lucid Nina

Nina is so full of problems that she barely recognizes herself.
Try to understand her world, views and beliefs from her perspective and guide her through her dreams.
Through perception, observation, trial and error, help a poor girl find out what's happening in her mind. Guide her through the seven doors around her bed and find a way to comprehend what they mean. Don't neglect anything: every object may contain a piece of crucial information.
 • Story Driven Narrative: This game is a story that needs to be told. There aren't fights other than Nina's.
 • Another Way of Horror: Lucid Nina isn't about jumpscares, but interpreting dreams and helping one girl along the way.
 • Focus on Exploration: In a simple and intuitive "move-and-interact" gameplay, don't let anything go unnoticed. Clues are essential in Lucid Nina.

Gameplay Time: Estimated to be around 30 minutes.
 • Arrow Keys: Move
 • Enter/Z: Confirm & Interact
 • Esc/X: Cancel & Menu
 • F4: Toggle Fullscreen

✦ AI summary

Lucid Nina is a short surrealist horror experience with distinctive atmosphere and memorable dreamscape storytelling that players find engaging, though its brevity and linear nature disappoint those seeking meaningful choices or replayability. While the game's visual design and unsettling atmosphere are praised, complaints center on its two-hour length feeling insufficient for the price, technical bugs including freezing, and the lack of branching paths or alternate endings despite initial expectations of player agency.

This is a recommendation with a lot of asterisks. This is a short surrealist-bent RPG Maker horror—the whole thing can be done in two hours, and probably less if you don't encounter some of the problems I had that I'll mention in the spoilery section below—and while that description can probably be swung at a lot of games on Steam and beyond, I think Lucid Nina has a distinctive enough voice to both keep it memorable and fun. It's -really- light on game play though, largely a guided tour through its story more than anything, so if that isn't your cup of tea, this probably isn't for you. I love me a good dreamscape though, and Lucid Nina has quite a few that it strings together well. The biggest complaints I have for the game are here: *There's a bug in the
avoiding-the-parents
section where, if you get caught, the
parents
may not load properly in the next run through. This isn't that big of a deal because you can just get caught again and they'll probably load fine in the next attempt, but it is a little annoying because it's one of the few actual "game" parts of the game and, well, it has a big bug in it that just wastes your time. *There's …

the whole process is too short we players can't do sth to make this story different actually, I thought this game could have different endings at first but eventually disappointed me after I played it again and again aside from this, this game is pretty good, terrifying atmosphere, horrible bgm, good pictures Above all ,I want a more longer story which deserves it price

Game froze three times but thank goodness it was towards the end. Pretty good otherwise.
