"Brave your climb.
Face your punishment.
You were banished here for a reason, Ocnus.
Perhaps your answers await you at the peak."
Ocnus Theory is a challenging 3D platformer that will test your creativity, reflexes, and ability to rise from a painful fall. Navigate the sandbox environment and build yourself into the Ocnus you need to be. Pick up blocks, fruit, fish, and anything else that will stick to your core to match the needs of your climb.
Stuck trying to climb a particularly thin cliff? Perhaps a change in shape is in order. Rearrange yourself and try again! Just be careful where you fling those blocks. It would be a shame if they were lost to the sea far below.
Though the climb ahead may be daunting, with a little creativity and patience no task is impossible.

-- Gameplay Features --
- Physics-based platforming that relies on careful movement to avoid disaster. Every second counts, as an accidental fall can occur at any moment.
- Change your physics, size, and shape by picking up and dropping blocks and other objects such as fish, pumpkins, candles, and more.
- Explore a complex environment split into many diverse regions, each with their own themes and challenges.
- Tackle your problems with a sandbox approach, where no challenge has a single solution. Experiment and break things!
- A challenging but fair checkpoint system, to ease with the difficult climb.
- For those that want an even greater challenge, harder difficulties limit the number of blocks and checkpoints available in the world. There's even a no-checkpoint Legendary Mode for those that really want to suffer.
- Customize your look with unlockable colors and hats. Low in practicality but high in fun.
- A challenge mode with unlockable micro challenges that can be completed outside of the main game.
- Fishing! If by fishing you mean ramming into fish and sticking them to yourself. Don't worry, they love it. Probably.
- A darker world than appearances may suggest. Climbing to the peak may reveal truths that some would wish remained secret. Just who or what are Ocnus anyway?

The character movement is waaaaaay too slow, it makes it very boring to travel anywhere or do anything. I got myself stuck in geometry at one point and was forced to reload my last checkpoint which meant re-watching a cutscene and a full minute or longer of rolling in a straight uneventful line just to get back to where I was. Wouldn't recommend this to anybody unless they are an actual sloth (the animal) or are brain damaged and live in slow motion.2 found this helpful
A creative and well executed idea. The platforming is challenging but the many checkpoints, shortcuts, and other helpful tools keep it from being frustrating. So far I find the most fun part of this game is the freedom to build myself into whatever shape is currently needed. It feels rewarding to make a challenging section easier by playing smart rather then struggling with a bad build.2 found this helpful
Ocnus Theory has rolled and climbed its way to my heart. It is an incredibly charming game, keeping my curiousity and desire to explore throughout the whole adventure. It is generous with checkpoints, shortcuts, and abilities to help you climb higher, but it also is challenging and very addicting. I definitely recommend picking this game up and giving it a try, it's quite a journey.1 found this helpful
This is a pure gem of an indie game. Very few games have caused me to feel such dizzying heights of joy when finally overcoming an obstacle that has been crushing my spirit. It's truly the dark souls of climbing, down to the secrets and shortcuts you can unlock. It's "Getting Over It" if it was made to actually be fun instead of pure frustration. Each new area is gorgeous and provides new thematic challenges that keep surprising me. It has only gotten better and better the more I've played. Try this game, it's worth it.1 found this helpful
Fresh and mysterious open-world open-ended puzzle platformer, basically Tunic + Grow Up + Besiege + Getting over it with bennet foddy1 found this helpful
This is a fun game with where you climb to the top with the blocks helping and screwing you over all at the same time1 found this helpful
