About Pact of Joy: Prologue
Prologue:
-Jack Argyle, a skilled contractor, arrives at Phorcys Station accompanied by his trusty robotic assistant. Their objective: repair the station's malfunctioning communications system and return home. What should be a straightforward job becomes twisted when they're confronted by the dangers aboard the station.
Setting:
-Set in the same world as Test of Courage and Born Into Fear, carefully navigate the underwater ex-Aegis facility, Phorcys Station, in the near future of the year 2043 while you attempt to restore its communications.
Gameplay:
-Piece together the fragments of the station's history and uncover the truth behind its troubled past through dialogue, terminal entries, and more while you attempt to accomplish your mission.
-Overall, the gameplay combines atmospheric exploration, survival elements, and an engaging narrative to provide a thrilling and immersive experience within the haunted depths of Phorcys Station.
- Repair control panels to restore access to locations around Phorcys Station.
- Meet some of the colorful souls who lived in Phorcys Station.
- Learn about the past lives of the Children of Joy through their personal computer terminals.

- Visions: Get a glimpse of something otherworldly happening in the station.
- Variety of characters: Speak to various NPC's and avoid the failed experiments of the Ambassador.
- Randomized solutions: Each console will have a different solution for everyone.
- Drone Companion: Your constant companion throughout the game, Robuddy will speak to you and give you advice on your quest. He’ll also serve as your flashlight and can highlight interactable objects/objectives using Enlightened Vision.

It was an excellent prologue that gave a great sense of the atmosphere for the main game. I really loved it!
THIS WAS SO GOOD. Horrifying, stressful, might i say - traumatic - for those that are faint of heart like me, when it comes to being chased. The atmosphere was creepy and beautiful, the quests were fun and the jump-scares were damn perfect! I loved every second of this demo and I'm gonna love every second of the full game. Really enjoyed this and anyone into indie horror curious should take a look. I think what really stood out most was how in this prologue I felt all kinds of emotions, sometimes even at once? And yeah that can happen with other indie horror games but here it really stuck out. By that I mean the script had me equal parts laughing at silly bits, but also piquing my curiosity with some of the more cryptic bureaucratic messages you can find. I was sad when reading about certain people's plights and their regrets one second, startled by jump scares the next that while surprising weren't very scary persay the next, but then deeply terrified and gripped by the atmosphere at others. Excited to play more of what the developer has to offer!
