✦ AI summary

Pit of Evil is an RPGmaker game with decent graphics and music that shows promise but falls short in execution. Players consistently report significant technical issues including game-breaking bugs, crashes, and poor controls that make the game feel unfinished and unpolished, while the story, writing, and characters are criticized for being poorly written, pointless, and failing to engage players. The gameplay loop of turn-based combat and puzzles becomes tedious without a compelling narrative to support it, and the lack of updates suggests the developers may have abandoned the project.

Pit of Evil is an RPGmaker game........and that's about it, story:its pointless, everything you did & do would amount to nothing, remove the story and you'd lose nothing, all that build up had ended up with mediocre plot twist of nothing. Character's: all the ppl you need to is Barry the main character, everyone else is irrelevant, Barry is one of them most stupidest dishonest person in this game, all of his irrational thoughtless actions have led to disasters after disasters and he''ve never been held accountable for anything. gameplay & battle systems:its a typical turn-based RPG with not much to do, money seems to be on the ground everywhere and they response.....soo you can reach that 9999999gold, without a good/decent story, the gameplay in this is pointless.

At the beginning, the RPG Maker game looked interesting. The story and music was ok. After six hours the puzzles became too much for me. The fighting became less. That's too boring for me.

I enjoy the graphics and the music is okay. The idea for the story is good too. Unfortunately, the game obviously was not tested properly and is, in no way, production ready. Within an hour, I encountered several game breaking bugs that required me to reload from save to progress the game. Beyond the bugs, the writing clearly lacked an editor. It's full of misused homonyms, spelling errors, grammar errors, and generally poor, cliche, writing. Since it's been nearly a year since the last update of the game, it seems likely to me the developers have abandoned the game, which is a shame. It definitely has potential to be good

I played it for a couple of hours, got into an abandoned mine, i.e. the first quest with the full party and I think that's as far as as I go. I'm too bored, with both the story/characters and gameplay. Despite what the devs say, NO, the game doesn't work well with keyboard. It's awkward and clunky and I thought I'd get used to it, but it gets increasingly annoying. And the 'minor bug' of the enemy attacking from off screen, doesn't happen 'very rarely', but almost always. The battle system is awful. It was fine when I had one character, with four, I can nevel tell whose turn it is and it just takes so many clicks to get anything done. Then there's 'journal', which is the complete waste of space. It gives you information about different type of cards you're collect which becomes redundant the moment you pick up the first one, and info about the PAST quests. That's all. Nothing helpful, probably because Barry thinks it' girlish". (So is colour purple, which is repeatedly mentioned as a joke. Hahaha, the guy acted as a girl, so he got a Purple Sword, isn't that funny? No?! Yeah, me neither.) The story is extremely linear, you don't get a chance to explore at all, you need to follow…

At first, this appears to be a fun RPGmaker game. I liked the very brief time I spent with the characters. However, the game froze or crashed 3 times within 5-10 mins. and I lost all progress, having to start over. After 3 failed attempts at playing and never knowing how to save my progress, I've given up. It also would not save my visual preferences. Upon restarting, it kept track of my other preferences but would revert back to the default video settings. Just very buggy and unfortunately, unplayable.
