About Planet 1138

Planet 1138 is a vehicle based action game with a heavy emphasis on strategy. Players control a heavily armed ATV as they fight to destroy their opponents base while defending their own. Players can build outposts and turrets along the way in order to manufacture troops and amass an army they can command. Bases are protected by repairable shield generators that must be disabled before they can be damaged so building an army to command is a very important part of the game. With Planet 1138's unique balance between action and strategy players can win matches through pure skill, brilliant strategy, or a combination of both.

Features:

• Build outposts, amass an army, and command your troops to victory without leaving the battle yourself.

• Seventeen mission single-player campaign with a robust upgrade system that rewards players for replaying levels against multiple different AI opponents.

• Full controller support.

• Win battles through brilliant strategy, pure fighting skill, or a combination of both.

• Original music by Jason Heine of HeineHouseEntertainment.com

This game is like a first person MOBA with tanks and buggies. It all works together in a very nice and interesting way, making the player decide what strategy to adopt: support the drones, attack enemy drones or capture neutral bases. The action is very fast, so the player must decide quickly what to do, which is good. No lagging here, action all the way. Thumbs up for this.

So I was hopeful for this little game but very quickly let down. There just doesn't seem to be much point to the player being on the battlefield. Tactics just really aren't there. Terrain does not offer cover...so there isn't much in the way of strategy. You pick up ammo and repair like some sort of old racing game. Unless your opponent has really terrible aim you essentially are just trading blows.... If the player vehicle had a drone mode I doubt you could ever perform better than it.... I do not recommend this game.

Pros: Very deep strategy. Unique and fun. Tons of maps. Each one plays very differently from the rest and requires new thinking. It's blend of action, moba, and rts that works surprisingly well. Cons: Very hard to find matches online. This game would be way better if more people played it. Tutorial is lacking. Graphics are okay but nothing great. HUD is pretty bad.

On the last few levels, the enemy is ridiculously more powerful than you are and there aren't any tactics that will tip the scales in your favor. The best you can hope for is an even trade, which means you lose since the AI's drones are also more powerful than yours. The only strategy that works is to avoid the enemy and try to take outposts faster than he can, which gets boring fast. The game starts out fun but quickly turns into a grind.

A very challenging MOBA. I enjoyed playing this game for a good while. I like how each stage gets more challenging and think its pretty good considering the price. I ran into a few glitches but overall it worked fairly good to where I still enjoyed it. I definately recommend this game to any person who wants a different MOBA game to play with for a couple of hours or longer on multiplayer.

Planet 1138 is like Mario Kart or Twisted Metal for the PC. Reminds me of the old days of playing it on my super nintendo and N64. This game is a lot of fun and enjoyable for hours. I highly recommend this for anyone who likes car games and shooting and blowing up stuff. Very fun game!
