I used to enjoy this game, and I used to recommend it. But after the last update, it is completely multiplayer-online oriented. I always play single-player games, but now it pushes online play and chat. You can only opt out of the chat, but the chat bar stays in the right corner. You can't remove it. Also, once you've chosen a galaxy, every time a planet loads, you get an option to opt in to online players—on every planet. I can't recommend this game anymore because opting out of all the online multiplayer stuff (which I do not like) is no longer possible. It's a great shame that the multiplayer features are pushed so aggressively. Regrettably, I have decided to uninstall the game because of this change.1 found this helpful

Good RTS, good vibes (like Total Annihilation), nice music. Mac version works. Recommended!
It's really good game
Good game
If you like annihilating your friends and then dying to the overtuned AI because they somehow built a nuke launcher 20 minutes in while you were still struggling to get your economy situated, all because the AI can see everything at once and command every unit at the same time, continuously sending units to target your extractors... then this is the game for you.
