The second game feels very much like an attempt to fix the mistakes of the first one. Quite literally, in fact: it takes place in the same locations and reuses many of the same characters and assets. That inevitably makes it feel derivative, but it also seems to have freed the developers to focus on all the little things that used to be so irritating. The question is whether those fixes were enough. The foundation is unchanged: this is still a linear isometric RPG with real-time combat and tactical pause. There is a new "Story" mode that effectively removes the need to develop your characters by giving them high stats from the start. I did not play in this mode, so I cannot judge its balance, but judging by other players' comments, it makes the early game much easier. The linearity is less intrusive this time. In the first game, every new squad member was followed by a mandatory series of missions on the world map, while genuinely major choices were few and far between. The sequel has fewer large branching moments, but many individual quests allow at least some variation. I've translated this game to English and I'm playing through it now! I'm more than halfway done after spending over a month translating the text with multiple AI tools. I kept the tone dark and true to the original, doing my best to make sure everything makes sense (check the Steam Guides section, I posted the files there). As for the game itself, only the prison section has unique maps; the rest of the locations are identical to Planet Alcatraz 1. However, there are far more items and many more random "hunt" missions where you can farm XP and loot across forests and deserts, fighting both human and beast enemies. The core gameplay mechanics are identical to the first game, but with extra layers added, such as stealing from restricted areas. The bugs honestly don't matter, the game is completely unique!

Well, this game is cool but it needs to have cheat system cause if I can't beat the level, then I can't play the game and I don't want that.
