PoW is an immersive open-world RPG that rewards exploration with exciting surprises at every turn.
One of the key features of the game is its customizable gameplay, which allows you to distribute stats freely among your three characters and choose from a vast array of over 50 unique skills and three factions, each with its own unique gear. This not only affects your options in combat but also shapes your experience in the game's vast and diverse open world.
Even though all the abilities and their complex reciprocal effects can be overwhelming – e.g., there are over 10 different damage types - you can also just get right into it and learn by trial or read the skills in detail as the game is easy to play and hard to master. Choose the difficulty that brings the most enjoyable game experience for you.
Your characters’ personality traits play a significant role in shaping the game's narrative, as they determine your dialogue choices. Accumulating merit points enhances your persuasive abilities, allowing you to sway others to your cause. While ruthless choices may yield quicker success in some situations, taking a more compassionate approach may win the cooperation of more people. Sometimes though hard decisions have to be made to lead your cause to victory. Over the course of the game your choices will be reflected in how your surroundings react to you.

A unique game full of fun surprises! As one sees in the preview, this game is a 2D retro-style RPG, but it has some nice twirks that make it unique. It is refreshing to play, despite being an RPG Maker game, which I have played many already. Pros: - Good and atmospheric sound tracks: BGM is so important for the feeling of a game. And this one uses nice tracks, which I am 100% sure are not part of the classic RPG Maker "music mix". - Little quests and secrets around every corner: Finding hidden items, detective sidequests, planting bombs in enemy bases, smashing enemies for money or also for world peace of cause. ;) - skill tree and battle system: Vast possibilities and a lot to try out. Each of the three characters has a different innate ability and a broad skill set, which you can experiment with. Together with the depth of the fighting system, this gives you a nice tinkering time! ;) - Choices: Different endings, but also different approaches to quests on the journey, of your heroes. - Leveling on a good scale: You can level up if you need easier enemies. This game totally surprises me! Normally I only play a complete different type of games, like farming games, Minecraft or Zelda. Until this game I had no experience in this retro-style RPGs with round-based battles. Despite I don't like this type of battles, this game captivates me. For me it was a bit difficult to understand how the skill tree and the battle system work. But since I found my way into the game I am very excited about the story and my next tasks. Because of the open world and the manifold possibilities this game targets a huge group of gamers. Beginners need some time and effort to get used to the game but then it is real fun!
