Potion Knight

I can appreciate that this is a FREE game. But I have gripes I'd like to air out then i'll talk positives. 1. I know it's my fault, but I feel a lot of people would just hate to do tutorials if they are optional. But the thing about games REGARDLESS of whether tutorials are optional or not, you should STILL be able to understand the mechanics of the game regardless of doing them or not. Granted you obviously will miss things, but i feel something as simple as NEEDING TO SLIDE IN ORDER TO BREAK THE STAGE BOUNDARY/PLANKS is something that should at LEAST be highlighted in the beginning area 2. The game is dark af. Not to mention the snow is blinding. It's cool to have a night/snowy theme, but if i'm unable to see where i am going, it becomes an issue. For example, ULTRAKILL has VERY dark rooms. But I'll ALWAYS know where I CAN go. 3. The lack of sound effects lowkey kills the game for me. The potions don't make sounds when the land, I know that's just a nitpick. But it makes the game THAT much better. Aside that it just feels like the BGM is too stagnant and should probably change depending on whether enemies are around or not imo. Positives: I like the setting of the game, and I…

Speed sliding around while throwing potions at enemies. Need I say more? 10/10

Potion Knight is a strange little first person action game that caught me off guard because it mixes fast movement with throwing potions at enemies. I am in the snowy village of Cronenberg, where an alchemist has been turning animals into horrible weaponised creatures. My job is to fight through the village, survive the different areas and eventually take down the corrupt alchemist. The whole thing has a very weird medieval fantasy feel, and I like that it does not take itself too seriously while still making the enemies look genuinely unpleasant. The movement is probably what I enjoy most. The game is built around moving quickly, sliding through areas and trying to stay ahead of the enemies instead of standing still and shooting everything. That gives the combat a much faster feeling than I expected. I have a normal weapon to use, but the potions are where the game gets interesting. I have to throw the right potion at the right type of enemy, so I cannot just mindlessly use the same attack against everything. Getting a few enemies together and dealing with them while constantly moving feels pretty satisfying when I get into the rhythm of it. I also like the strange visual style.…

Amazing game!!!! The tutorial was not so interesting. Best game this year can't wait for Potion Archer and Potion Paladin
