About Protos Magos

Protos Magos is a fast-paced first-person action game where you customise your attacks and change how they behave to create a build that fits your play style. Fight through dark medieval levels and blast apart hordes of demons before they surround you.Combine runes to create custom attacks. The first rune defines the attack’s core form — a burst of ice shards, an explosive fire orb, a piercing lightning lance, a toxic pool, an earth spike, or a sustained dark ray. The runes after that change how the attack behaves.Fight through castles, graveyards, cathedrals, and demon-infested arenas inspired by old-school action level design. Combat is fast and positional: keep moving, aim carefully, and don’t let the horde flank you.Fire orbs. Earth spikes. Toxic pools. Lightning lances. Explosive shards. Castles. Graveyards. Custom attacks. Demons.Lots and lots of demons.Customise your attacks. Survive the horde. Keep moving.

Played the demo, then again the full game (so far). Absolutely loved it. Combines the best of old Quake series FPS and Warlock games spells and customization. Some polish to be had, for sure. 1. Camera sometimes snap to a random angle while rotating 2. It's too easy to (accidentally) jump through walls and go out of bounds. 3. A minimap of sorts would be nice, or perhaps more distinct zone visuals. I'm getting very lost and accidentally backtracking a lot. 4. Blast 1 often blows me up if there is even pebble/a very short object at my feet, even when I'm aiming upwards. Should refine this collision check. 5. Love the secrets/puzzles in Level 1, wish there were more in Level 2. 6. Should make enemies easier to see, perhaps with a red outline or enemy contrast/brightness. Currently they camouflage too well into the background. Spend a lot of time running around in circles to bait out their glowing arrows to locate them. 7. Level 2 gets pretty confusing for where to go, what button to press, etc. Could be solved if the buttons were a lot more obvious. 8. The homing spell is buggy, most of the times all homing projectiles fly towards some corner of the zone, or into a specific spot i…

I got a key from the game creator about a week ago- The game itself is a basic fps, the special feature of which is the right and left hand magic, meaning: with the right and left mouse buttons you can attack with magic of different effects and power, and you can also cast a special attack that charges more slowly. The attacks charge automatically, they are not tied to mana, you just have to fill your life with a life potion or strengthen your defense with armor. The levels themselves are not linear, but a walkable path that takes you to places where you have to activate switches or solve simpler logic puzzles to move forward, nothing that would interrupt the gameplay. The game world is a kind of medieval fantasy, where we fight demon knights, mages, archers, we mostly meet them in mixed formations in more open or more closed spaces, but since the level structure is free to walk, the artificial intelligence is easy to play, if we retreat to an already cleaned room and eliminate the army of hell from the door, the artificial intelligence still needs to be polished. My other problem is Unreal engine 5. Unfortunately, I have a pretty weak computer, so the game was quite difficult due …

Awesome game! The spellcrafting system is nice, and I love how movement is just as important as aiming, making the combat feel fast and satisfying. Looking forward to seeing more updates this has a lot of potential!

Super cool game. had me worried with the menu title screen, but i was pleasantly surprised. Fast-paced action with an intricate magic system and cool level design. I really hope this game is being worked on full time. Right now, it looks and feels like a demo still, but if this release had a little bit more time and money put into it, this could be really, really good. It's showing immense promise for future updates. 8/10 Maybe full release has a COD Zombies-like Gamemode???

The game features an interesting spell customisation system and fast-paced combat. That's basically all it has to offer. Still, the game is pretty fun and worth trying (at least the demo). Cons:

Some spells' combinations crash the game or drop FPS lower than 0.1.
It is hard to find your way around. I often found myself lost, running in circles.
Maybe I've played too little, but I didn't encounter any challenges. All enemies were too easy to deal with, and I had too much health to die.
