Princess Shall Prevail

This game and the dev as a whole doesn't nearly get enough credit. I've been binging his games and this is just another absolute banger. It really reminds me of NES games I used to play all the time, and sometimes go back to. Music is great, artstyle is simple but effective, gameplay feels as good as ever and I love how fighting feels.

Movement feels sluggish. The dash doesn't seem to work properly. Hit detection seems off, especially when attacking north or south, for both player and enemy attacks. Length seems fine for the price. If you're thinking about getting this, Miko Funk by the same dev, seems like a better game with similar gameplay.

I'm a huge fan of this developer's games and this is one of the best. Snappy gameplay and great soundtrack, like with almost all Blaze Epic games I wish it was juuust a little tad longer. Some titles end right when I'm getting into the groove, sort of speak. Anyway, solid recommend.

[b]"stage 1-1"[/b] ❤️❤️🖤🖤🖤 ✅ retro style, nice music ⚠️ short, no story pure gameplay ⛔ felt like it was missing just a little bit polish [b]vibes:[/b] colorful arcade [b]loop:[/b] progress through five stages killing enemies [b]thoughts:[/b] this is a very simple game, what you see is what you get, but its fun for what it is. it's short, there's no real complexity in the combat, but there's plenty of enemy variety and i quite like the aesthetic and music. the slash range when you're facing up or down feels off from what you're seeing. there's no special moves or unlockable upgrades or anything, just dash/run and attack, it's very old school. except for and call me stupid but it never shows or explains that you can slash projectiles so i didn't realize until like the end of the game that you could do that, so for all i know maybe there's secret key combos to do a circle attack or something. honestly if it had been longer i would have probably gotten bored, but it was pretty much perfect one-shot play length. the ending felt very abrupt though, you beat the boss and then it just cuts to black and restarts the game, could have used an ending screen with some art and text or s…
