As a third-person shooter game, this needs some rework especially related to the character movement. Bear in mind this is a student game proyect which was entirely developed remotely in 14 weeks by 30 students, so I think this deserve a positive review, and maybe a praise as well : )4 found this helpful
The story started very boring. By the time I arrived to level 4 I was about to quit and told myself, 1 last level and I am out and that's when things changed thankfully. Story surely is a cheesy copy pasted mix of Half-Life and Portal while controls are a bit clunky and monsters are way too easy, however, this took me about 3 hours to complete the game with achievements (don't know why steam shows incorrect numbers maybe i lost connection while playing dunno but w/e). Tbh, for a student project for free, especially from Campus ADN, whose games are 90% of the time unfortunately horrible, this one was pretty solid. I didn't come up with any bugs at all. Optimization was handled pretty well I got 165hz fps on my 165hz monitor almost all the time with highest settings. So, well done devs and good luck in your careers!2 found this helpful
Ugggghhh... I absolutely HATE leaving a bad review for a student game. I only played for 19 minutes, and I just couldn't do it, I had to quit. The game BADLY needed some graphics options, VSYNC in particular, it was a non-stop screen-tearing nightmare, it was actually messing with my eyes, and it took me completely out of the experience. Your options are: Low, Medium, or High, no resolution options at all. The movement is janky, and the collision detection with some objects is basically non-existent. You can just clip though chairs, and I partially clipped into walls a few times. The camera can be a pain, if you're too close to a wall and try to pan the camera around, you get the lovely "I can see inside my character" issue, and of course your view is totally blocked as well. It might LOOK like Dead Space... but it isn't. I know that it's not fair to compare this game to that one, and I'd say that they were definitely wearing their influences on their sleeve with the overall presentation, but don't go into this expecting anywhere near that level of greatness. It's sort of similar, but not really. Mid at best. If I can pull myself together and finish this game at some point, I …
A decent Dead Space knockoff with the level of jank you'd expect of a student project. They should have focused on making the game shorter but better IMO
