The gameplay is level based and monotonous. its too easy to kite enemys, combat does not feel enjoyable and stealth just doesnt matter, theres very little to craft and half the things you can craft don't seem to do anything worthwhile. the visuals are alright, probably not to most peoples tastes though. I expected something a little darker and a bit gritty, but theres constantly stock music playing in the backround thats reminiscent of android shovelware. theres a few mechanics that seem to do nothing such as bagging corpses and the rage meter, which is basically a stamina bar. tho i have had negative rage before and nothing happened. Even though i only played the first 3 levels I dont wanna play anymore, first impressions are important and this left a sour taste in my mouth. Even though i will be refunding this game I wish the devs better luck on their next one.

It's a top down stealth game where you kill all the villagers without being caught. There's around 10 or so levels that pretty much are the exact same. There's not really anything else to the game. I mean, for $0.79 what did I expect? It's boring, almost no variation of anything, annoying music, items and menu do not like to work. Buy it if you want half hour of something monotonous to do, get bored, and never play it again.

Psycho Wolf is a handheld (Nintendo Switch)/console game that's also been put on Steam as a bit of an afterthought, as it's very much designed for the handheld/console gaming audience. This Nintendo Switch game is from the Polish developers at Hydragon, and takes the form of a 2.5D retro brawler that combines low poly 3D graphics with hand drawn/MS-Paint tier cartoony animal characters. This mission/level based hack and slash game has you running around various environments and slaughtering the cute inhabitants as things have obviously gone wrong in cartoon animal town. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets with 2D sprites for the characters and elements, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the early 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't willing to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets and high resolution textures for the game. It looks bad as a result of their decisions, and that's just another reason to avoid it. The controls and game handling are notably very clunky and unsmooth here. It's janky and unsatisfying to play... and any experienced gamer will tell you, the handling, responsiveness and general game…

I mean, I do like all kinds of games; I even like anti-hero games like Overlord, but my girlfriend - who is no gamer at all - almost cried and said that this game is too cruel. So yeah, that's already a good reason for me. Fancy music makes it more evil when you're the evil killer in the game.

Psycho Wolf is a peculiar and uneven indie action game that stands out more for its ambition and eccentric identity than for polished execution. Developed by HYDRAGON and published by Ultimate Games S.A. alongside Falcon Games S.A., the game attempts to fuse stealth, action, survival, and light crafting systems into a single experience presented through a stylized 2.5D perspective. From the outset, it signals that it wants to be strange, irreverent, and unconventional, leaning into a surreal premise and retro-inspired visuals that recall early polygonal games filtered through a modern indie lens. The premise introduces the player to a wolf protagonist driven mad by a bizarre series of events, setting the stage for a violent journey through hostile environments populated by enemies that range from villagers to wildlife and other odd threats. While the opening suggests a revenge-driven narrative with hints of dark humor, the story quickly fades into the background once gameplay begins. Narrative elements are sparse and rarely evolve, leaving the player largely unguided beyond the immediate objective of surviving encounters, collecting resources, and pushing forward through successiv…

The game is not actually that bad as I originally thought. It is indeed pretty simple of a game, and I believe it can be a lot lot better, if the dev do a bit more polishing and add more RPG elements in it. The sound track is really good though. I played this game as a sort of stealth game, and the game’s difficulty does not change much throughout the whole game, but the length becomes longer. Takes about 2 - 3 hrs to complete the whole game normally, and if you are confident in your "stealth" skill then you might want to skip some levels to complete the game faster. Also, I really hope that there is an ending cinematic or some sort.
