"Rally31" is more of a tech demo than anything else... it's a simple, yet directionless driving/racing game. The gimmick is the various vehicles have different attributes and propulsion mechanisms, so I guess you're supposed to have fun driving the different cars around just to "experience" how they feel. Not really much in the way of exciting game loops. The graphics aren't great... that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. i do not agree with the review calling this game a waste. whether they enjoy the game or not, that is their decision, however i disagree with their viewpoint on a free game being not worth even a try. to say that a game must be seen or played by thousands or millions, and using steamdb metrics as a way to put down the game is a small viewpoint. as much as one can believe that a game with little impact is essentially a waste, why should we see it that way? most people dont have a profound impact on numerous people, but they still have an impact. if a person can change the life of even one other person, isnt it fair to say that they have value? if someone can enjoy this free game that someone put out for others to try, then the game achieved its purpose, to entertain. does it matter how little people got that entertainment? i say no. because in the same way that a human having any impact changes at least one person, if this game can bring joy to even just a few people, it isnt a waste, and wont ever truly be.

pretty good game. challenging when moving quickly. would like to see more vehicles and race types. over all, its pretty easy to get lost in the game play. audio sounds great. graphics look great semi-nostalgic feel. great work.
