Although it might seem trivial to mention the game didn't blast my eardrums on the initial start up with 100% volume. I always appreciate that. While the topic of genetics isn't uncommon in games nowadays the prospect of applied genetics isn't one of humanitys best achievements. Whatever doesn't fit the requirements for the next batch gets eliminated in one way or another. It's a cruel competition with unwilling contenders. Therefore I really appreciate the scientific approach and included commercial aspect of animal breeding meanwhile the music and gameplay do achieve a cozy and light-hearted experience. Since the game is literally taking its baby steps right now I took bugs and suggestions to their Discord instead of including them in this review. This might prove more useful. Heck, the first ones already even got solved or implemented. Props to that. For most of my library I'm content with silently playing the finished product but I feel weirdly urged to input on your project. I'm excited to see where the journey goes.

There is one thing and one thing only that Rare Rabbits does great and that's genetics. Colour and pattern is encoded as letter combinations and once you learn them what rabbits will be born from what rabbits becomes like a little satisfying puzzle. For the rest - the primary game loop is very simple - no matter you are playing scenario, or endless, you are requested to produce X amount of rabbits of type Y and your job is to do it. If you're playing scenario, once you're done, that's where scenario ends, if you're playing endless, you are given a new assignment. And it continues. There are currently two types of mini games that you can play with your rabbits (an endless runner and a rhythm game), they are not something that you must engage with, but something that you can engage with and they do feel a little bit... Clunky to control, so I tried them once and left it there. If you're a genetics enthusiast, this game may be for you. But for me, I feel like I need more gameplay elements. Here are a …

Cozy rabbit breeding game with scientific elements. I really love the concept, and I’m always up for a few rounds to learn more about breeding specific types. For me personally, it’s always a new challenge to breed specific types of rabbits, and it’s fun to learn more about it. The pixelated rabbits are cute and enjoyable to watch. The music and the changing background make me feel totally relaxed. With the mini-games, I feel challenged for a short time, which helps me stay more focused on breeding. :) Although the game is still in early access, I really appreciate how the developers interact with the community, answering questions and more. Thanks to everyone involved! Definitely a must-have for cozy game fans with a small touch of challenge.

This game impresses with its well-thought-out concept. The graphics and design are captivating, showcasing a great attention to detail. Furthermore, the game effectively imparts new knowledge. This knowledge is conveyed in a playful and therefore incidental way. Learning new things is passively encouraged through the pursuit of success in the game. A brief introduction and explanation would be beneficial for younger players. The realistic portrayal is also noteworthy. It begins with the animals' natural needs and extends to a conscious examination of the consequences and responsibilities of animal husbandry. This game is also suitable for adult players to refresh and enhance their existing knowledge. And, of course, it's a lot of fun.

Simply love rabbits!!! However cant keep all of them otherwise you run out of money fast. Scenarios are fun and help you get into the game. Could use a bit more info on how to get certain types of rabbits.

Things this game needs to provide are tutorials, some quality of life features, something like an ingame shop and a few long term goals. I would also like to see some achievements later on. But just implement them once, not new ones over and over again, please 😅 We also need a level system with stats and deathmatch arenas 😁 Or how about a "bunnywalk", a stat system for the most beautiful rabbit.
