A short and simple story, follow a girl as she tries to protect her country and makes the small decisions which open up the reality of life as an individual without anyone to back you up. You can't trust people, you will get stabbed in the back, people will lie to you and rob you. Yet even so, we must persevere, if only for the good of all, so that we can see our happiest days and peace arrive in our time. No sacrifice can be considered too great, but everyone has varying definitions of what they consider too great. How far would you go to protect your nation?

"Records of the Flycatcher" is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. This is a garbage, badly written "CYOA" style e-book about, yep, you guessed it, the authors imaginary anime girlfriend, who this time is a sniper, so I guess that's a real vivid imagination there. The writing is on par with the premise, as awful as you would expect given this is a fan-fiction about some guys imaginary girlfriend that he paid $100 to publish here. Visual novels/e-books are tedious at best... imagine the best novel you ever read, be that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or 2001: A Space Odyssey or Twilight (if you have terrible taste in literature), but then translate that to a format where the words dribble out and …

CZE&ENG ČESKÁ RECENZE DÓLE Records of the Flycatcher is a simple story-driven 2D game. You take on the role of a sniper from Altheimin and your goal is to survive the rest of the war. It is mainly a narrative roguelike, where you must balance health, psyche, and the readiness of the protagonist based on your own decisions that you make in a given day (part of the game). As for the gameplay, it is rather minimalist; each day a text describing the situation appears in front of you and you must decide how to deal with it. Whether it is shooting an enemy sniper or rescuing an allied pilot. The text that appears in front of you every day is well written and understandable, allowing you to better empathize with the situation. A big plus is the wide variety of events; even after my third playthrough, new events still appeared. The game itself lasts about 20 minutes, so it can entertain you for a short while. Interesting game with a nice variety of choices and consequences. I would really suggest giving it a try to see how long can you survive. The only issue for me is I feel like success depending too much RNG that game gives you, instead of player choice.
