Purchased for 10,49 euros. Overall, I would recommend this game for the novel gameplay concept (planning an escape route and then escaping) and the unique set-up ('reclaiming' African artifacts held by colonizing nations). The game doesn't overstay its welcome, has some fun mechanics and you learn something about history. However, I'm left with the feeling that they could have expanded on the gameplay. The planning of the escape routes is fun, but the escaping itself is too easy, because part of the platforming is automated. I assume the automated parts are meant to make the escape look spectacular and smooth, which they do, but it also robs it of the tension that's part of escaping. Also, if you play on the 'balanced' difficulty, make sure to turn off the option to highlight the escape route, otherwise the planning of the escape route is also taken out of your hands, leaving very little actual gameplay. I just feel like the planning and escaping could be more engaging. The story is not the main draw and seems a bit messy. There's clearly a lot of love put into this game, and the platforming feels smooth and (for someone who doesn't play too many platformers) neither too easy nor too hard. I also love all the historical touches and the information about real artifacts.

A true Heist game, more than any stealth/tactics game I've ever played. You have your team of classic specialists - the lockpicker, the muscle, the hacker and so on - and have a phase of planning out your heists and deploying everyone into locations where their skills will help you to get everything you came for and get out. The design is very satisfying, and I'd love to see more games imitate this kind of gameplay. The story is good too, and the characters are fun; it's surprisingly feel-good given it's a game about an organised crime ring in the context of historical atrocities. This story also means all gameplay is easily justified in terms of the plot - no need to come up with elaborate reasons to be breaking into so many places, just history lessons! Which are optional if you don't want to do too much reading, but there's a fascinating variety of things to learn if you do. One caveat is the game is quite easy. Play on a higher difficulty than you think you'll need.

What an absolutely incredible game. I can't think of another like it, genuinely. The game involves setting up your heists via the use of a drone to look around, and find your targets and routes, navigate the spaces yourself to prepare your escape, and then finally snatch the goods, and get the hell out. The 2D platforming is some of the best, though a little janky at times, and the planning systems feel wholly unique. On top of the joy of all of the game's systems, the narrative and world are built so well, based around real world artifacts that were stolen from their homelands, and returning them to where they belong. This is a must play for any 2D platformer fans, and anyone interested in learning more about African history, even a little, and envisioning a better world.

in need of some polish, totally, but I love its heart, its characters, its commitment to a better, more just world once I go into the gameplay rhythm I had quite a great deal of fun with the mechanics too. would love to see more from this studio and universe
