Sol Dorado Heist

[b]Sol Dorado Heist is a very short detective story which is only 3 chapters long. Mystery element was very poorly planned out. They didn't give you any clues to go on with. They started to point fingers at other characters hard out and choices in this game did not matter. As a player you are just a tag along who is watching events unfold and it absolutely doesn't matter what you do, it all ends the same. Ending was very rushed. Characters had no depth or personality. I didn't manage to find out anything about any of them on a personal level. They felt flat and lacked dimension. Interactions between them had no chemistry or connections. I prefer stories and characters with more of a personal touch. Sol Dorado Heist just felt blank.[/b] [u]Game was so short I don't even know what to say. It left no lasting impression about itself. There was something about this game... I don't know... The allure of mystery? That's why I had to play it! Even though I like these types of shows (Mystery ones) and "Everyone is a suspect", I still tried to use my own instincts... Since I am not good at clue solving or even reading people... Well, I got the right guess, but that only made me feel better... Actually the person who was the "Bad Person"... I actually rather liked that one... Until you find out more... I definitely like the music and the character/CG designs. There are quite a few twists, that I didn't see those coming. It is shorter than what I normally read, but I didn't expect it to be a book length! In fact, it made me laugh and entertained me... I actually got the references, so I believe: money well spent. As for the endings: I like two of them... I can't say which two, but that I like them. It's like one is "Goody" and another "Got Away". That doesn't tell you anything, but meh. Yeah... I'll be around to see if another mystery comes up... Thank you for the game!!! :> :) =)

Sol Dorado Heist is a decent game. Entertaining enough to keep you engaged but not immersive enough to really get lost in it's fictional world. You're stuck with the conclusions the main character makes and once you solved the mystery there's no replay value. The game just lacks some depth that would really elevate it but it amused me enough to recommend it. If you're interested in the game get it while it's on sale.

The flashing lights (which happen every time someone says something dramatic) were giving me a headache and I don't even have epilepsy

Stories that use a protagonist who has amnesia can work if it's written properly. In Sol Dorado Heist, it just lacks proper context and clues to justify anything. Some small flashbacks here and there relating to small sections, but in the end it just ends up being spoon fed to the protagonist. 2. The characters are unique, but are they written well according to the story? Not exactly, as a lot of the characters feel vague in who they are even to the protagonist. Instead of being supporting characters to help the protagonist, they feel distant to her even if they were friends. It's hard to have a mystery centered VN involving amnesia to have characters that don't provide enough clues for the protag…
