An old company focused on creating entertaining eateries featuring singing animatronics - closes down after a series of accidents. Several attempts to rebuild fail, the company's reputation is permanently tarnished, and they fade into the shadows. One of the former owners leaves town, and a warehouse is built on the site of his house to store the equipment and property of the former restaurants. After many years, an advertisement appears in the newspapers for a night guard position at the old abandoned "Freddy`s Archive" warehouse

Local journalist Alex receives a letter from his long-missing father, asking him to visit an old family warehouse to learn more about his life. Fearing danger, he calls his friends to join him. Together, they travel far beyond the city to find something that was hidden long ago...
Meanwhile, there are sudden earthquakes in the city, causing the inhabitants of the city to be in danger, and some are forced to leave the city, while the rest believe that something bigger is involved, and all the clues lead to an old cursed warehouse not far outside the city called "Freddy`s Archive"

"Remains Of The Past" is a rather creatively bankrupt, slightly more narrative driven ripoff of FNAF (even using the "Freddy" name, but make no mistake this is not related to the successful jumpscare franchise, it's just a ripoff). It's rather poorly made, and while the 2D artwork is ok, the gameplay is not, it's unpolished, clunky and unpleasant to play. What do you do in the game? The usual stuff... monitor, get jumpscared, yawn, go play a more professionally developed game. There's a bit more puzzle solving and a bit more of an adventure game aspect. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say…2 found this helpful

I'm sure the dev took care when making this (and the fact that it's free AND on steam), but i cannot FOR THE LIFE OF ME figure out how to open the door (i'm aware of the letter and it might be bugged) someone please help me make my review positive because i'm sure this is amazing
yeah i recommend this game for the ppl if they are not scared easily and if your scared easily than play it.
Couldn't even do the first puzzle, unclear how to interact with the switches (despite having solution). Couldn't progress any further and was stuck.
