Walking sim that seems very clunky. Make sure to wear headphones so you can hear coughing and spitting sounds right into your eardrums. Game have no clear goal so you end up wandering aimlessly while scratching butt along the way. Collect runes and charge them to unlock new path, sometimes you have to click multiple times to make it work. Visuals are mediocre and music is a bit drowsy. Framerate is mostly low depending on the setup of course. Apparently fall damage makes character sweat a lot as you will see water droplets around the screen border. Buy cheap and struggle with the gameplay or just skip it for good.
7 found this helpful

Ridge, developed by Yakovlev Vladislav and published by Volens Nolens Games, is an atmospheric first-person exploration game that leans heavily into isolation, environmental mystery, and slow-burn discovery. Rather than presenting a tightly scripted narrative or action-driven experience, Ridge positions itself as a contemplative journey through a strange and unsettling region inspired by folklore, unexplained phenomena, and a sense of quiet unease. It is a project that clearly reflects the ambitions of a solo developer, aiming to evoke curiosity and tension through space, sound, and suggestion rather than exposition. The game drops players into a sprawling natural environment marked by rocky terrain, dense forests, abandoned structures, and a surprisingly extensive network of caves. Exploration is the central mechanic, with little hand-holding or explicit direction. Instead, players are encouraged to wander, observe, and piece together meaning from environmental details. Burned trees, scattered ruins, and unusual landmarks hint at past events without spelling them out, creating an experience that feels closer to environmental storytelling than a traditional narrative adventure. Great game. Lately, I’ve noticed that more and more Russian developers are getting drawn into the gaming industry, and Vladislav is no exception.
