Rip Current

really fun short story game, has some enjoyable, not too difficult puzzles and was very to the point, only complaint was I'd want more of it, felt like it was over very quickly, give it a try especially if it's on sale

(SPOILER FREE) Just beat this game and loved every second. less than £10 for a decent Dino Horror game a pretty easy no brainer. only one problem late game, one room was a little too dark to see in but other than that yeah a very fun Dino Horror.

You’ll play it once and that’ll be enough, possibly a second time if you want to unlock some of the skill-based achievements. [u]What works?[/u]: *Compared to the developer’s previous dinosaur game (‘Oakwood’), ‘Rip Current’ is a huge improvement: The gameplay is tighter and more focused, there’s a bigger emphasis on the story (which does a good job of explaining why there are dinosaurs running and swimming all over the place), and it’s a pleasure seeing a developer put everything they learned from a previous game into a new one. *If you want a modern-day ‘Dino Crisis’, this is a good spiritual remake, as it has the same basic formula and feel, but from a first-person perspective. *There’s a good feeling of tension throughout the game due to having to manage your limited ammunition; every encounter requires you to weigh whether to try and sneak/run past your reptilian opponent or use the am…

My first time diving into a dinosaur horror game, and i have nothing but good things to say. Great story, creepy atmosphere and i finished it in around 2 hrs as someone who takes their time and enjoys games in full capacity! Rip Current is a dino horror shooter by a small team and although it is short, its solid. Reminds me of Unknown Tapes but you can shoot the dinosaurs. The game doesn't give you enough ammunition to be a total shoot'em up. You can scour the levels for secret areas with loot and ammo but its not necessary as long as you commit to being stealthy at least some of the time. I wish the characters and story made more sense but its not a big deal. I mean we're all in it for the Spinosaurus at the end of the day. For 8.99 and even less on sale, its a solid buy for dino horror enjoyers.

Most fun I have had in ages. Simple, lots of Dino action and a fun story. Though I will say that someone really needs to reprimand the onsite worksafety rep as this facility is not up to code - how staff ever get to their respective departments by 9am without an incident is amazing. Everyone should enjoy this gem!
