TLDR: A great premise for a city building flash game type, but needs a lot of work to be worth playing. [b][u]General Thoughts/Overview:[/u][/b] Rise of Jericho (RoJ) is a sweet little colony building game reminiscent of some early flash battle games. You control a small group of hunter-gatherers, and using your god like powers of control, you equip them, grow the settlement, and progress them through the ages. [b][u]Pros:[/u][/b] [list][*] Peaceful and fitting music that sets the tone very well. [*] I quite like the art style, as I said it reminds me of the early versions of the pixel flash games where you level up troops and send them in waves at each other. This won’t be for everyone though. [*] The game feels like it has underlying challenge. I think if you have the patience to master it might be rewarding. I, however, do not have that patience. [h1]Promising Concept Hindered by Bugs - Developer unresponsive [/h1] The game is nice but has some basic bugs, even with the save and load system. The developer is unresponsive to questions on how to fix or resolve these issues. [b]Unfortunately, I don't recommend it, which is a shame as it had potential.[/b] [b]UPDATE[/b] on the developer's comment made on December 30, 2023: I already addressed this in the discussion section for your game. As a Steam user who purchased your game on the platform, I would anticipate receiving support on Steam in the discussion section rather than through a third-party client.

It's difficult to control your people, and you can only select one at a time. Because of this, it is hard to deal with things like the natural disasters and enemy attacks. The game is difficult in a way that isn't fun and is basically unplayable the way it is programmed at the time of my review.

Wonderful game Starts off chill af and gets more complex the more you advance your civilization. Loved the ambience and its perspective on human history. Looking forward for more games from the developers!
