Robotherapy has a killer premise: being a robot therapist in a world without humans.. but the execution is just okay. The dry, cynical humor is the highlight, gameplay wise? It's extremely thin. A rare case where the game is simultaneously too expensive for its length and too repetitive to last another minute. Your dialogue options don't feel like they carry much weight; the story is mostly on rails. Minigames are clunky. The non-reading segments feel like filler. If you are into visual novels, robots, dark humor and an apocalyptic vibe- Wait for a sale.5 found this helpful
Short heartfelt silly game that'll teach you some therapy basics if you're open to them. Grab it on a sale or at full price if you want to support the solo dev :3
I don't know man, it's a 5 buck game but I really didn't find it worth my time. Felt more like proof of concept that was turned into a "full" story but quite an unsatisfying and unentertaining one. Really didn't feel a single joke nor attempt at emotional beat landed, which is unfortunate because I think the concept for this story could lead to genuine intrigue but I don't think in any universe it gets there as this style of writing I find inherently dull.
The humour really doesn't work for me, and the characters are all extremely one-note.
I love a humour to existential dread pipeline. This game was very fun and very sweet! I enjoyed it a lot.
Really good story game, love the thought that went into it - I'll definetly recommend it to friends ! :)
