Rock the Rim

From an UPDATE back in APRIL "Episode 2 will be released as a DLC for the base game. All future episodes will follow the same structure — each new chapter added as its own DLC. The Episode 2 store page will go live soon. We will announce it separately so you can wishlist it right away." That was 4 months ago with no further information from this Developer.... This game came out LAST YEAR and it only took me 2 hours to "beat" the game. The ending leaves you on a cliff hanger...you don't get to choose if you want to be a Muscian or even an Athlete ..... This was a major disappointment... I got it because I really liked the look of the character models and animations from what I saw on the store page trailers. I didn't pay much heed to the negative reviews due to the fact that they mostly were talking about dialogue, general writing/story, and (in one memorable case) the fact that it's unrealistic that the school nurse would be wearing revealing clothing with her bra showing🤔🤦‍♂️.... So I feel my decision to go ahead with the purchase wasn't unjustified with only that type of feedback to go off of. Unfortunately what those reviews failed to mention is, on top of all those other faults, the game only has 3 or 4 animations total and no animation gallery... So to sum it up: -The dialogue is truly painful. The first half of the game consists of every single character you meet going on and on and on about how the MC bumped his head and how "he should be more careful, haha, I'm kidding. But lets get serious, you need to watch how you do things or you could get hurt..." It's impossible to know when the characters are supposed to be joking, angry, sad, serious or anything else. The visuals look high quality but the execution is poor. If you treat this game as a slideshow and totally ignore the dialogue then maybe you can enjoy it. P.S. My high play time is because I tend to leave visual novels running in the background, not because there's actually this much content.

one of the best VN games out there with a great story. there are a few issues with the writing. needs a better proof reader. i def recommend BUT for the price vs the amount of content really makes it not worth the price especially since following chapters are all gonna be separate DLC that cost money. i would give it a 5* review and put it up there with games like Being a DlK and College Kings but the text on screen and its writing [calling the coach him instead of her and a few other things] cost it 1/2 a * and the cost vs the length cost it a full *. But other than that its a great game...oh and the video of it with the pix at top shows stuff not in this chapter. hopefully there's a huge content boost to match the cost in the following chapters.. the amount of content in this chapter is more like a $5 game. so DEVS hope you fix this cause i have high hopes for this game. either way keep up with the good work on the story itself.. Well, if you made the mistake to buy that "game", you should play it like that: 1. go to setting and select the skip option to unseen 2. start the game and rest your finger on the Ctrl key 3. when asked something - just click on any option 4. when you go to the Lexi conversations - select the appropriate answer to see the scene - x2 5. rest your finger again on the Ctrl button - or just Alt+F4 6. forget you ever gave money for that thing On the positive side - the music and the quality of the graphics are really good.
