"Rocket Armor" was a garbage tier VR tech demo with delusional pricing... a minimalist low poly racing/platformer where you waved your arms around to move about then quickly uninstall before the godawfully bad VR rendering made you nauseous. This was effectively a scam... the developer had no idea what they were doing, rushed a pre-alpha onto Steam's disastrous Early Access through the equally disastrous Steam Direct, then walked away (but kept all the cash from the few sales this got). The developers abandoned this 4 years and 10 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. Rocket Armor is a small VR flight game that caught my attention because the entire idea is built around flying with rockets attached to my arms. Instead of sitting inside a normal aircraft, I am wearing futuristic armour and using my motion controllers to move through the air. The game puts me through timed courses where I have to fly through rings, reach platforms and deal with alien enemies along the way. It is a very specific idea, but I think that makes it more interesting than trying to be another normal flight simulator. The flying is easily the best part for me. Having control over my movement through my hands gives the game a much more physical feeling than a traditional flight game. I can accelerate, turn and move around freely, and there is something satisfying about getting a difficult section right after initially struggling with the controls. The courses gradually introduce more complicated patterns, so I have to get better at controlling the rockets rather than simply relying on a normal forward flying system. There is combat as well, which gives me something else to think about while I am flying. I have a laser and a sword that I can use against alien enemies, and …
