Good fun, a little tricky to get the settings right using gyro on my dualsense. Would be great if you can create a dynamic campaign in the future. Great bones for this stage of early access.

Aces of Thunder has some strengths, but its control system is by far the worst I have ever encountered in an air‑combat title. This includes full‑fidelity sims, simcades, and even arcade flyers. Most flight games recognize HOTAS automatically, and the few that do not still offer straightforward manual keybinding. Aces of Thunder manages to make even basic setup feel like a fight. No matter what you do, the control settings are confusing, inconsistent, and extremely difficult to configure. For comparison, DCS is a full sim with complex aircraft, yet HOTAS setup is logical and predictable. IL‑2 has deep systems but cleanly organized controls. Even War Thunder from the same developer handles control binding far better.I saw complaints about the control setup before buying, but I did not expect it to be this bad. Once you try to configure anything, it becomes immediately obvious that this is the most frustrating control system in the genre. If you rely on HOTAS or want a smooth setup experience, be warned. Aces of Thunder makes even simple configuration feel like a chore.

As you can see. I have not played much. I played it as a VR Game with motion controls. I hoped for a fun VR historical Flight Sim and I got a game with controls so janky, that I could barely play it. I will be very picky here, as I am with all VR Games, since I get my fun in VR from immersion and bad controls will lead to less immersion. 1. You have all controls on at the same time. VR motion Controlls, Controller Mode and Keyboard + Mouse controlls. Therefore pressing the buttons and moving the sticks on your VR Controllers will conrol the plane at the same time as gripping the controls in the cockpit. Therefore you can shoot the guns while having your hands on the Gear Lever. 2. Toggle Grip only, I hate that 3. If you don't have physical rudder pedals you need to steer your rudder with your left stick instead of non realistically twisting your hand, like in VTOL VR. Even though this game was made with VR Motion Control first in mind, it plays like they took war Thunder and added the worst motion controls ever to it.

It's a fun game! It's just like War Thunder without the grind. A guilty pleasure for me.

i love this game i think its f&$kin awesome! the graphics are beautiful the planes fly so nicely it completely sucks you in it runs so smooth ive only had literally one or two graphical flickers or glitches. the selection is a little bit restricted could do with more planes and some bigger bombers that would be amazing. take off and landing is easy but it feels like something is missing with it i cant place my finger on it yet. online plays well but i dont think there are many players on however the bots do a reasonably good job at filling in occasionally i find myself questioning if im playing a bot or human playing the rest of the time the bots seem to have a default maneuver or two that makes them easier to spot. we definitely need more story based missions and bombing runs but also more variety for multiplayer and possibly a slightly more user friendly mission selection option.
