This game is a command-based RPG set in the Warring States period, one of the most fascinating eras in Japanese history. Enjoy various elements that capture the atmosphere of the Warring States period.

●Freely choose your protagonist from 91 daimyo families or new warlords!

In this game, you can freely choose your protagonist from 91 daimyo houses or new warlords. Each daimyo house offers different protagonist abilities, the number and abilities of your retainers, the surrounding power dynamics, and the warlords who will join you in that region. This allows you to enjoy different story developments with each playthrough.

●Recruit over 300 warlords and freely form your army!

Numerous warlords who colored the Warring States period make an appearance. Over 300 of them!Independent generals may join your service after defeating them in battle. Generals belonging to other factions can also potentially join you after you conquer their faction. Gather numerous talented vassals and aim for unification!

●Form your own army with your favorite generals!

You can form units at your faction's castle. You can also assign deputy commanders to generals in your units to enhance their abilities. Combine generals with various skills and abilities to form the strongest unit!

●Train the strongest unit and enhance generals through equipment treasure hunting!

In battle scenes, use attribute skills such as spear, cavalry, archery, and strategy, as well as powerful unique skills to overwhelm enemy units. Enemy levels become stronger the farther you are from your base. However, there are no penalties for being defeated, so keep trying (except for some event battles). In this game, equipment can be obtained from enemy drops or certain events. Items are randomly assigned “quality” and “titles,” so enjoy treasure hunting for divine equipment!

The vast field map, based on an actual map of Japan, features enemy castles scattered across the landscape. Whether you choose to “start by defeating weaker forces to build your strength” or “take down that famous warlord first to obtain their equipment,” conquer enemy castles in any order you like and aim for national unification.

Samurai Heroes is a strategy-focused role-playing game that successfully blends large-scale military management with character progression and faction-based conquest. Developed and published by hizaniya games, the title transports players to a fictionalized interpretation of Japan's Sengoku era, a time defined by warfare, political ambition, and the struggle for territorial dominance. Rather than concentrating on a single protagonist's journey, the game emphasizes commanding entire factions, recruiting talented generals, expanding military power, and guiding a chosen clan toward supremacy. This broader focus creates an experience that feels both strategic and rewarding for players who enjoy long-term planning and gradual progression. One of the game's most impressive features is the sheer scope of its content. Players can choose from more than eighty-five factions and interact with hundreds of individual generals throughout their campaigns. This extensive roster immediately gives the game a sense of scale that many independent strategy titles struggle to achieve. Every faction presents unique opportunities and challenges, encouraging experimentation with different approaches to co…

Really want to like this game but it has crashed 3 different times at the end of random battles. I imagine it is some loot item which causes it. Lost too much progress too many times to continue further. Game does not auto save either so that sucks.

It appears to be a port of a phone game to the PC. I have barely figured out the controls, which are keys only (no mouse) on PC, but at least they allowed for left handed players. (you use WASD or Arrow Keys to move around, 9 or 0 to scroll through lists, space or enter for selection, and escape or backspace to exit/go up a level... that's it, lol.) I am stumbling along blindly, thinking I am doing OK when I run into the next tier of enemies and get my @ss handed to me. It is very addictive and loads of fun with that just one more turn feel. I recommend it on sale and full price if you enjoy these types of games. I hope the devs continue to improve it for PC play. Last night I conquered about my 6th castle in the southern most island and when I left it, I was jumped by a group of samurai who use mostly special attacks, which I really haven't dealt with so far. It was motivating enough to get me out of bed this morning to start practice those moves! I wish I could dump my low level useless Samurai that I recruited not what I was doing early on, but I haven't figured out how to do that... if you can. EDIT: You can't, lol, but they don't cost you anything and they add up to one of th…
