The graphics and colors are dull and boring. Scratches the itch for spectacle fighter power fantasy but it looks and plays feels like a mediocre port of a 2010s game1 found this helpful
if you like theses games this one is perfected for great game play.
Pretty nice different spin of the traditional DW series. Combat's lovely, weapon feels are okay, musou system feel slightly better, and items are okay-ish. Dueling is okay, though there are some obnoxious fights that are frustrating (looking at you Lu Bu, you're worse than Dark Soul and you're only halfway through the game). Also - it'd have been better if there're more flavors around character closeness (felt like wasted opportunity there), and it'll be less wtf if dialogues are less suggestive. At this rate, I'm paying less than a dollar per hour - honestly, just this alone it's already a crazy deal.

Pros: 1. Great and satisfying gameplay. Very different from any previous Dynasty Warrior versions. 2. Game progression is fairly well. 3. Great DLC. 4. Combat and strategic battles are fun and challenging. Liked for some battle that when strategy applied correctly, the battle will be much easier. The main character and a few characters are well designed. Good story add-on for the main character to the origin story of the three-kingdoms. Cons: 1. Beside some character design like main character, zhuhe, zhang jiao, the other characters' design and animation in story scenes are a bit off/ weird. Not as great as the previous dynasty warrior 8 Xtreme. Maybe because all budget go to the gameplay. 2. As a veteran Dynasty Warriors player, quite disappointed when realized the story is ended halfway such as Wei, Shu, and Wu finished at Chibi battle. Where there are actually more. Therefore some character expected to appear did not make it such as Sima Yi, Zhang Chunhua, Ma Chao, Zhang Bao, Jiang Wei,... 3. Leveling for end-game is quite slow if did not play all weapons type. Some weapon are not to my liking and yet still need to play just for the levels... Should have another option to leve…
