What I like most is that the game doesn’t rely on randomness to stay interesting. Most of my wins and losses came down to decisions I made several turns earlier—who I recruited, which services I kept, and which schemes I prioritized.

I actually lost my first couple of matches because I kept recruiting whoever looked useful instead of thinking ahead. Once I started planning a few turns in advance, everything clicked and the game became way more fun.

A genuinely fresh concept that brings something new to the deck-building genre! The premise of running a town rebellion while working alongside (or around) an unpredictable AI ally like Barnaby is brilliant. The visual style is crisp, card readability is top-notch, and the resource management gives you tons of meaningful options every single turn. You can tell the developers put a lot of heart into this project. While the tutorial could use a bit more interactive visual feedback, the core gameplay loop is exceptionally solid and plain fun. If you're looking for something unique and strategic, definitely give it a shot!

This game captures that exact nostalgic feeling of opening a brand-new physical board game and slowly figuring out its rules. You might feel a little overwhelmed by all the moving parts during your first run (Jailbreaks, Influence, Services), but stick with it! After a couple of trial-and-error matches, everything falls into place. The humor and personality packed into Bumblebrook are delightful, and taking down the corrupt Mayor keeps the tension high. Choosing where to drop Wanted Posters and deciding when to break recruits out of jail creates a really fun, constant balancing act. If you enjoy strategy games with plenty of charm and don't mind a brief learning curve at the start, this is well worth your time.

If you’re looking for a deck-builder where skill and planning actually matter more than draw RNG, this is a hidden gem. What hooked me immediately is how heavily it rewards thinking 2 or 3 turns ahead. You can’t just recruit units at random based on what looks good in the moment; you have to construct your crews with a clear vision while balancing jail space and managing the Mayor’s Investigation Board. The dynamic with Barnaby adds a fantastic layer of chaos—sometimes he lends a hand, other times he completely throws a wrench into your plans, forcing you to pivot on the fly. The onboarding is a bit text-heavy at first, but once the mechanics click, the decision-making becomes wildly satisfying. Clean visual presentation, great theme, and pure strategy.
