Scroll Of Life is a 2D retro pixel platformer that's been slapped together with the godawful GameMaker Studio video game construction kit from Yoyogames. It's an extremely badly made, clunky "action" platformer that seems to have been slapped together from a template or something, there's nothing of substance of value to it. GameMaker Studio is a very poor quality game construction kit, and unsurprisingly results in products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers. Using a video game construction kit requires little to no talent or skill as a game developer. Very often, GameMaker Studio is used to make shovelware and lazy cash grabs. Like most GameMaker Studio construction kit "games", this features lazy 2D retro pixel "art", instead of professionally done, contemporary PC graphics. Controls and resolution are locked, which pushes this below acceptable standards for PC.5 found this helpful

Terrible game, for some reason you only have 3 rocks to kill the enemies and I would like to have more or just infinite rocks like in other platforms where you can use an item the times you want, the soundtrack gets boring very fast, the graphics look so lazy, and there's no options to change the game's controls, resolulution and sound.
You have 3 hearts and 3 rocks, and your goal is to figure out how to reach the exit without running out of health. The rocks allow you to disable the enemies, and if you take a hit you'll be able to go through them for a brief moment. As soon as you realize this puzzle-ish concepts, the game becomes mildly enjoyable. I just wish it was easier to understand what is a hazard and what isn't (for example, the flying guy's body doesn't hurt you, but his head does).
