I saw a lot of negative reviews talking about how the game was frustrating and confusing and too difficult, so I decided to see if they were right or just stupid. They are stupid. There's a lot of things that could be done better, but this game has a lot of unique mechanics that I haven't seen before which I found quite interesting. The combat itself isn't special, but finding a build that breaks the game and outscales the infinite enemy scaling is fun.

Developed and published by AliveGameStudio, SealChain: Call of Blood presents an inventive take on the roguelike action genre by combining strategic inventory management, RPG progression, and highly customizable character builds into a single experience. Set in a world consumed by an ominous purple corruption inspired by Lovecraftian horror, the game places players in the role of Spirit Mediums who wield mystical incantations to resist the endless tide of monstrous creatures. While its premise follows the familiar battle between humanity and supernatural forces, the real appeal lies in the depth of its gameplay systems, encouraging players to think several steps ahead instead of relying solely on quick reflexes. The game's standout feature is its elaborate item synergy system. Rather than collecting equipment simply because it offers better statistics, players are encouraged to carefully arrange, connect, enchant, and combine items to unlock powerful chain effects and magical seals. Every decision regarding inventory placement can dramatically influence combat performance, turning the inventory into a strategic puzzle rather than a storage space. This emphasis on experimentation c…

Not bad, pretty fun. There are ton of things to improve tho. I made it to top 3 leader boards, but only reason I could not keep playing was cuz of the lag. I made my build too good making enemies immortal because the game could not count the damage anymore while fps dropped to 1-15. I have 5080 and AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D so its just optimisation issue. Also its funny to see people saying they cant read in the reviews. Its true you need to read what items and abilities do and recommend doing the tutorial. It gives everything u need to get started. If you need hands to count, its probably too hard.

It's interesting, but unfortunately a lot of what makes it interesting also makes it suck. It just isn't really that fun. I constantly feel like I'm fighting against the game to enjoy myself. If they reworked and rebalanced a lot of systems, then it might get to a spot worth buying.

Dunno what the review bombing's about, the game's quite fun! If you like complex systems and roguelites, then try the demo, you'll probably like it!
