About Second Second

"The Great Orbit awaits"

Those who desire to master time are gathering in the Great Orbit.

Features
  • No card-drawing
  • Over 1,000 cards without random elements, balanced by AI simulations
  • Randomly generated maps for increased re-playability
  • More than 30 events that players can play differently to with their cards
  • Three characters starting with different weapon sets. The story differs/changes depending on the 18 starting card presets.

Variety of cards and balancing through AI simulations

: Cards are of course the most integral aspect of card games. We have over 1,000 cards and more to be added until the official launch. We have balanced and optimized the performance of all cards by collecting hundreds of thousands of AI combat simulation data.

‘God does not play with dice’

: We wanted to create a game you could win without relying on luck or randomness, a game more reliant on player’s skills than drawing cards. Players can arrange the order of use of up to 15 cards to form the best strategies and tactics for combat.

Strategic Deck Configuration

: Opening a card pack is always a pleasure, but there may be some cards you do not want right at that moment. Players can return card back into the card pack for another time, and the decks can be edited at any time with the cards obtained.

Playing events with cards

: In the game event, every decision you make is essential. Various situations you encounter during your adventure in Second Second will be played using your cards, giving different results by cards you choose.

Importance of choice

: Just as important as the player's choice, the character in the game will also have many decisions to make. See what happens through storylines of the character’s presets!

Holy crap this is bad. This is so over-engineered and over-complicated while also being unable to progress due to bugs IN THE TUTORIALS? Like what even is this product? I love card games to an absurd degree and this turned me off so fast it's almost mind blowing. Do not buy.

I am the main developer in this game. I love this game. I've worked hard to fix many of the shortcomings that other reviews are saying. I hope this game will be a new and enjoyable experience for you as I did.

Yet another Slay the spire clone. +great mechanic around point action system (time related) -animation are a bit slow -a bit bland and not enough replayability

Developers gave me personal attention when I had trouble using the Steam Key on the mobile client. The art and world building are way above average. The deckbuilding gameplay is a rare case of trying something unique. Single player, multiplayer and a mobile client. I wish there were more games with these chops + ambition

Second Second is unique enough to try out, give the demo a whirl to see if you would play it. Difficulty is a slider, not sure what it affects exactly, but RNG is a big part of how your run will go especially early on. Sometimes the AI will resign if its scared of your deck and I'm not sure I understand enough to know why. Enemies use the same card pool, but tend to have a numerical advantage in terms of health. This makes a combo-kill setup more viable than defensive ones. My biggest critique would be the reuse of artwork for cards that have differing effects. Wild Card packs are actually a predetermined set of cards, so they're not all that wild. For the most I like the design of the cards, and I like how your character has animations for the different card colours, even if they are rudimentary. I don't like the map system much, the events you can 100% ignore and you're tricked into believing there's actual ramifications for not sacrificing a card. I've had some visual bugs on the tooltip popups but nothing that crashed or interfered with gameplay. Overall I appreciate that Second Second exists with a new approach on the roguelike deckbuilder genre. The balance is a bit whack b…
