With Sektori I wanted to create a shoot'em up where every run feels familiar, but is still completely unique. A game of skill, not memorization. The hand crafted attack waves, levels and even the bosses are combined, randomized and layered with the upgrade systems in a way that creates an interesting challenge for every run. I think this game struggles to find its identity. The campaign is okay (not good or bad). The progressing difficulties are difficult in all the wrong ways. The visuals are very distracting, given how many enemies they throw at you at once (especially on the max difficulty). Success deals a great deal with RNG vs capability. The upgrade system doesn't make any sense. 6 blue orbs to upgrade blasters 1 time makes no sense, when compared to other upgrades. Very strange game. Mostly upsetting (because of bad RNG moment). Generally, I can't recommend it.2 found this helpful
i am become death, destroyer of wor-- ah ♥♥♥♥ i got hit... so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun, and mechanically crazy cool. one of those flow state games. the encouragement for score via multipliers and chains and feedback is awesome, but you can just focus in on survival completely1 found this helpful
incredible twin-stick shooter, feels very fluid to play despite its insane skill ceiling and high degree of mechanical depth. the campaign can be a little intimidating when starting off, but it's worth putting a little effort in to see what this game has to offer--it's a real treat.1 found this helpful
