Serpent's Gaze

I'm aware it is early access and changes are to be made, but these are my current criticisms/opinions of the game as it stands. It may sound pretty negative at times, but I'm passionate about this game. It's awesome! RPG or Rouge-Like? Obviously it can be both, but there should be a focus on one definitively. This feels especially obvious with the short cuts in the level, I don’t really see the point in them? There is no benefit to running past enemies (it can help save resources for boss fights, however in the long run having less blood due to not killing enemies, just simply isn't worth it). I believe with the reduction of the quantity of seeds in a run, it feels to me like a clear indicator of RPG-style progression that I do not think belongs in a rouge-like; part of the joy of a rouge-like is the feeling of a build coming together as well as feeling powerful as a result of it, both of which are improbable due to less seed quantity. To me this feels like RPG stat scaling - reducing the strength of the player so later game areas still feel difficult (this could also be partially due to the desire to make it feel like a “souls-like”), however I believe this is a step in the wron…

Games good and looks like its going in a good direction. Had it since June and have enjoyed the updates and attention the game gets.

This is an interesting one. Soulslike rouguelike with pretty seamless co-op. Far, far more accessible that Nightreign while still being challenging enough for me (and my friends) to enjoy. Give this one a shot.

Big number, I like. Big weapon, I like. Big damage, I like. Monkey brain like game. Monkey brain trigger dopamine. Uh oh! Schizophrenia! Very fun game. Need more updates need to kill more gods and get bigger numbers.

Love the concept of roguelike x soulslike, wishing more content gets added soon especially skins to differentiate between each other! Reallyyyy fun game especially with friends! (Love laughing at them as they get mercilessly slaughtered in front of me and proceed to die the same way XD)
