"SgyuinBaldo" is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from Vantan Game Academy in Japan. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. The story revolves around a man named Baldo who lost his family and right arm to monsters. He teams up with a monster woman named Sgyuin to exact revenge. Gameplay involves attacking monsters to drain their "ma-sou" (a form of magical energy) and using that energy to enhance attacks. Поначалу немного отпугивает устаревшая графика, но стоит привыкнуть, как погружаешься в интересный мир, полный разнообразных персонажей и захватывающих квестов. Боевая система пошаговая, но с изюминкой – возможность создавать и настраивать собственных роботов, наделяя их уникальными навыками и оружием. Прокачка роботов и персонажей требует вдумчивого подхода, и от этого напрямую зависит успех в сложных битвах. Отдельно стоит отметить систему строительства базы. Возможность возводить здания, улучшать их и размещать полезные объекты добавляет игре глубины и разнообразия. Ресурсы собираются в процессе исследования мира, и грамотное управление ими является важным аспектом игрового процесса. Несмотря на некоторые шероховатости в плане графики, 'SgyuinBaldo' предлагает захватывающий геймплей, интересную историю и массу возможностей для кастомизации. Любителям jRPG и игр с элементами строительства однозначно стоит обратить на неё внимание.

Definitely recommend the game. Insane mechanics, lore, gameplay and the setting is very neatly designed. This game deserves to be $70 AAA game instead of being free priced game.
