This is her only path: to willingly fall into the trap, in order to find and protect Lellia — at the behest of the contract given by an ancient Temple.
Shards of destinies, endlessly intertwining threads of time; cycles that painfully replace each other... Reflections in the eyes, scarlet — a color that outshines the hesitant flame.
These tests of fate will challenge you to figure out the traitor, protect Lellia, unravel the mystery of the magical catastrophe and the cycles of the “Modern Hell”.
A World Abandoned by the Gods.
The action takes place in the abandoned estate of the Order called “Black Rose”. A magical catastrophe has crushed the manor, spreading death to all nearby lands, turning people into “Shadows”. Rain will have to plunge into this cursed place, encountering a mad adventuress and a dragon-girl from the “Hel'” clan; in the darkness.
The dramatic story will unfold piece by piece, adding up to the overall picture of the dark mansion, reacting to your actions. Secrets, betrayals, a Railway beyond Space and Time...
You'll go all this way with Rain. And it depends only on you — whether you can solve all the mysteries in time, solve everything without bloodshed... Or whether, on the contrary, you'll follow the scarlet path.

The dialogue makes me feel like I'm having an aneurysm. Why is it written so weirdly? Why within the first 30 minutes are there like 10 time jumps and in between different dimensions and stuff, what the hell is happening?7 found this helpful

If you like unorthodox, strange narratives that blow your mind, highly recommended.[/b] Review written after having played 7h30m of the game, reaching the end. [b]Gameplay:[/b] Shards of Chaos is not your regular Visual Novel. All the elements are there, but they're not disposed in the same way as linear narrative ones, including those with branching narrative and multiple endings. This VN is something different. Actually I'm going to give you zero spoilers or hints about what's the story about or what the MC tries to accomplish. That's something for you to discover. Because this is one of those cases where the less you know, the more you enjoy. I have to admit that I love narrative games, but VNs are far from being my favourite form of game narrative; unless the subject interests me. when time travel is involved, expect the plot to go out of wack soon very unorthodox vn that goes off the walls on the narrative wise still confused on whats going along with the amounts of schizo voices dosent really help but managed to get the bare basics very pretty art and character designs thats pretty much i have to say its nice2 found this helpful
