Shatterland

I’ve played a lot of Early Access games, and I’ve never felt burned quite like this. Shatterland launched in Early Access at a higher price, then was put on sale, then suddenly pushed to 1.0 and permanently dropped to $9.99 and now $7.99. Early Access buyers literally paid more for a less complete version of the game. That’s not usually how EA works. Early Access usually means cheaper entry while development continues. Here, EA lasted about a month, the dev declared the game finished, dropped the price with little sign of ongoing development. It feels less like Early Access and more like a brief paid beta followed by a quick exit. Not to mention the play test option is still available. I've only played about 30 minutes of the game, so this review isn't about the gameplay. The pricing and release strategy seriously undermined trust. If you’re interested, buy it at the current low price and assume development is basically done. I wouldn’t recommend buying future projects from this dev in Early Access without a very clear roadmap.

5$ on sale and still feels like a scam... Aiming with your mouse is just clunky as hell with the Unreal Engine smoothing. Movement is also as bad, walking startup animation takes forever and you have enough stamina to do just 2 dashes and sprint for 3 seconds??? 0.4 hours i just won't get back

Sadly this game is still Early access (so many potencial is wasted by the dev). Car mechanic is bad because your vehicle gets damaged by very small hills every time until its broken. The loot system is very bad because you find top tier weapons almost everywhere so collecting them is pointless. The aliens got the same "Hit" animation (yes there is only one) which is really annoying. So sad the Dev is in the "Good enough" Box of thinking. Don't waste your time with this one and try "Dead Poly" + "SourrounDead" there the devs cares about there games. Shatterland Dev don't. ;)

This is a sweet game, very fun with the homies. Shootem and lootem. if you guys need help with any errors or issues you have with the game go to the Discord. THEY WILL HELP YOU! they take care of there game and listen to the community! ive only played for an hour now and my buddy ran into an issue and was resloved in less than an hour after posting we had a problem.

I went into this game thinking it was a coop version of surroundead and if your looking for that this isnt quite there. I did not find it fun HOWEVER it does have coop and does work well, its hard to find your friend and they start with no gear when they join even if you have all your tutorial gear so its weird starting off. Its a much more arcade style feeling then surroundead. the controls are not enjoyable, the inventory system is awful and the gun and gear meshes do not line up well with eachother. the gun mechanics are find and work well but i just didnt enjoy it. I dont think it was even worth the sale price of $5, hopefully the game improves and will be more unique but for now it just felt like a riped game trying to cash in on the genre.

I give this game the best rating possible because the CEO helped me problem solve my issue right on the spot. Very kind, very professional. KNOWS HOW TO PUT TOGETHER A GAME.
