Not Quite Dead: Open World Survival

Has every element to be a great survival game, but weirdly, the implementation is severely lacking so at this stage I can't recommend it. This is based on my experience playing Normal mode in singleplayer for about half an hour. First, the basic survival needs such as hunger and thirst feel almost pointless. You can find several items like water bottles and soda, but I can't even imagine dying of thirst when eating a few carrots completely fills both your hunger and thirst bars. It would have been nice if food actually required some effort to obtain, such as hunting, farming, gathering ingredients, then cooking at your camp, so that it actually feels like a survival game. The temperature system is also strange. Standing near a campfire while wearing clothes can make you overheat to the point of dying. I understand temperature management being part of survival, but the implementation feels way too extreme. Second, combat and items. I actually like the responsiveness of the combat. Melee attacks disrupt enemy movement and attacks, which feels good. The problem is that within the first five minutes, I went from using a wooden bat to finding a SCAR-H. There is real potential here. I like that you can use a boat or a helicopter. The issue I have is that you start the game with literally nothing. The clock is ticking to see if you die of thirst or a basic zombie kills you off because you can't kill one easily with your bare hands. It is easy to get frustrated with this game starting off and wanting to quit it.

the game has everything to be great but needs a lot of tuning. I am playing normal with only 5 hours and I am practically unstoppable, this doesn't make the game fun. As soon as I beat one of the bosses with ease I realized I was pretty much done playing. -sound does not affect zombies -the vehicle mechanics are rough, turning is a suggestion not a command -the desert area is empty despite the map showing things in it and its full of invisible walls/hills (I guess this has been addressed and they are working on it) -stuff respawns way too quickly (items, zombies, cars) -the map is big so I understand cars being found fairly easily but having a helicopter within the first 5minutes of playing is crazy and completely removes the exploration aspect of the game. I know its in early access I just hope they actually address the problems and continue building the game.

I will play any zombie game that has a Mozzie or a chance to get a helicopter. Everything was perfect with the visuals, but I died due to code issues. "this is a hard no Dawg".

looks like every most thing got fix and added item keep from death too so I rebuy it i mostly play on surrounded but this one has allow you to use helicopter i hope dev keep and continue update this game
