"Shawarma or Shaverma" is another GameMaker Studio asset flip from serial copy+paste infringers, Piece of Voxel. All these guys do is rip off game templates and projects from the Yoyogames/GameMaker Studio marketplace, Unity Asset Store, whatever they can get, change the name and a few cosmetic details, and try to scam people into paying for someone else's work on Steam. They have run asset flip scams dozens of times, and this is no exception (just look at their other games on Steam). It's nothing but a cash grab. This time they've ripped off a basic template for a mobile app "dungeon crawler" clicker and put a comedy/joke shwarama skin on it. GameMaker Studio itself is a terrible game construction kit, and this asset flip shows just how bad things can get when templates/tutorials/demos from that construction kit get dumped on Steam as complete games. In line with dishonest asset flippers, the game was dumped immediately at launch into DailyIndieGame shovelware bundles. Even if this wasn't just an asset flip, it would be garbage. It's like gambling, but now you have a shoarma fighting hamburgers and pizza's for you as an extra. 10/10 would reccomend.2 found this helpful
